"I'm sorry, Ma'am and Sir... But Attorney Esquivel will be late due to his hectic schedule."
Kumunot ang noo ko sa narinig. We been waiting here in the office of Attorney for almost four hours now, yet even his shadow was nowhere to be seen!
Nang lingunin ko si Kuya Yohance saakin tabi ay nagmistulan na siyang kamatis. His face is red out of anger! I bet, mawawala yan once he saw him.
Pagkatapos ng nangyaring insidente, ay kaagad ko siyang tinawagan. Galit na galit ito at konti nalang ay sugurin na ang babaeng nabangga ko ang kotse. Though it's entirely my fault, I already assure her that I can pay! Bakit kailangan pang insultuhin ako at dalhin dito?!
I tried to stay calm but I can't help but to be nervous! Hindi mapakali ang kamay ko kakanginig! To think that I will see him after those years, shaken the shit out of me.
"We already been waiting here for almost four hours!" Kuya Yohance gritted his teeth. He then look at the girl seating infront of us. Komfortableng-komportable lang ito habang nililibot ang tingin. "Can we just pay? Maisisigurado naman namin na makakarating iyon sayo."
"No, I need to see Attorney first then we can settle." Kalmadong sagot nito.
I sighed. Mukhang magkikita talaga kami ng lalaking yun...
"I'm really sorry, Ma'am. But can we just reschedule this tomorrow?" Said by Attorney's secretary.
"Good idea-"
"We can wait." Ngiti naman ng babae. Kumunot ang noo ko.
Halatang nauubusan na ng pasensiya si Kuya Yohance at bigla nalang itong napatayo. One thing about him is to never ever test his patience. He was one of the kindest person I knew but in contrary, he is also the hot tempered among them.
"Edi ikaw maghintay. At kami ay aalis na!" He exclaimed.
Hinila ako nito palapit sa pinto ng bigla nalang itong bumukas. Bigla akong natigilan.
"No one is leaving."
Nanindig ang aking nalahibo sa narinig. Kahit hindi ko ito lingunin, boses pa lang ay kilang-kilala ko na. His voice... it's send so much authority. It almost send shivers down my spine.
My heart started beating hysterically. Fuck, hindi ko puso 'yun! I already recovered from the past for Pete's sake!
"Attorney!" His secretary sighed in relief. "Mauna na po ako tutal nandito na kayo."
"You can go..." Shaun- I mean Attorney Esquivel said. Dahan dahan akong lumayo sakaniya ng bigla siyang nagsalita. "Except for you."
