The group shifted as Ada moved in front of the claw machine. They heard her muttering told herself after cracking her knuckles. She moved the claw back and forth before suddenly lowering it and picking up the turtle. It moved over the opening and fell. "Bingo!" "OH MY GOSH YES! YOU DID IT, THANK YOU!" Naomi grabbed it and smiled big. "Can I give you a hug?" Ada smiled back, "Sure! Thank you for asking first." The girls hugged while the other's stood there surprised. "Huh" Ash said, "she was really good at that."
Ada used a card out of her pocket and started the game again. She found a purple dog and grabbed it. She slowly moved it over before dropping it into the opening. She grabbed it out of the bottom opening and turned around. "This is for you Ashley." She smiled big and handed the dog to Ash. "Aww thanks hun!" She bent down slightly because of the heels and gave Ada a tight hug
Soon their time at the arcade had run out with Ada spending the rest of her break with the group. Naomi and Damien hit the bar again before waiting at the door for the others. Brendon said his goodbyes to Ada before meeting the other two at the door. "Ok... here!" Ada handed Ash her phone back with her number in it. "Thanks again for the dog sweetie. She's adorable!" Ash said happily. "Of course! I'm so excited for next time I see you!" Ada gave her one last hug before Ash left with the others, Brendon driving.
"Good job on getting her number" Damien said, getting into the back with Naomi. "Yeah! She's really cute and nice. I love her freckles" Naomi slurred a little. Ash laughed before taking a sip of the to-go Long Island tea Naomi brought her. "Yeah... she seems real sweet huh? Look at my puppy" Ash held up the purple dog. Naomi squeezed her turtle and Damien put his arm around her.
"Good on you" Ash mouthed to Damien on the ride. He nodded back nervously and put his head on hers. Ash chose the music this time, "Cardigan" by Taylor Swift playing. They grabbed Wendy's before coming back home. Damien and Naomi went up to their room to smoke while Ash sat on the couch with Brendon. "Mind explaining what that was?" "Huh? With Ada? I figured fuck Maddie and find a new chick. She seems sweet so why not?" "Well, I'm proud of you Ash". He pulled her into a hug. "I'm gonna do the best I can! Hopefully something good comes outta this, friendship of whatever." "Or whatever? You mean a new girlfriend~" Brendon teased.
"I said I'd take her for pizza hun. Not like I'm tryna hook up, she's actually sweet. Maddie and i were just... a hookup that lasted too long."
A few years ago, Maddison worked at Sin City under the name Kitty. Unoriginal, just like the rest of her. Her size DD cups were fake and she often pushed herself too hard. Although it seemed like a bad idea, Maddison is actually the one who gave Ash the idea to dance. Ash had been to the club before working there. She would often stay in the back by the bar and watch Maddie. That's how she got to know Oscar and another bartender, Cassie. She always thought that Brendon and Oscar would be a good pairing, it would just be hard to explain how they met. Cass was a breath of fresh air during the times Maddie got angry or distant. Cass listened and seemed to really care about Ash.
"Cmon! One dance isn't gonna hurt!" Maddie said, holding Ashley's hands. "Yeah but what if I'm no good?" Ash said while pouting. "Sweetie, look at me. You're beautiful! You've got nice legs and pretty eyes and lips. You can totally kill it out there! I've seen you dance." Ash sighed and rubbed her head. "Ok ok just, give me one of your outfits." Maddie dragged Ash to her dressing room, a place Ash had been a lot. "Ok pick two and I'll make the final choice." Ash said.
Maddie pulled out a red one piece with black playing cards on it and another that was light blue with clouds on it. "Clouds." Was all Ash said. Next thing she knew she was up to dance. She chose 'Sky' as a stage name and the rest was history. Maddie and Ash only shared once dance together, which was later that same night. The pair danced to "Gimmie More" by Britney Spears. After the dance, the pair went into the dressing room and got steamy. A few weeks later, Maddison quit her job and started to go abroad for modeling. So when money got hard for Ashley, she went back to the club and started dancing again.
Brendon waved his hand in front of Ash's face. "You alright?" "Yeah just.. remembering some stuff about Maddie. It was a long time coming I guess." Ash got up and went to her room. Brendon thought to give her space and decided to go to his own room. He laid down on his bed and sighed. He took out his phone and clicked on Oscar's number.
The phone rang for a few seconds before they answered. "Heyyy Oscar!" Brendon said, trying to keep casual. "Hey, what's up Bren?" Brendon's face lit up at the nickname. "I-I was just wondering what you were up to and stuff." "Not much to be honest. You?" "Today me and the group went to the new arcade. Ash got her eyes on one of the girls that works there. She was pretty nice. Names Ada." Brendon flopped over on his stomach. "Aww that's lovely! Hey, why don't you make your way over to my place? I'll be off in about twenty minutes and I can meet you there." "O-oh! Are you sure?!" "Yeah, there's a spare key in the plant. Let yourself in and relax. Refrigerator and everything in it are open to you babes. I'll send you the address." "Okay then! I'll see you there!" Brendon hung up and quickly got dressed.
Brendon knocked on Damien and Naomi's door before opening it. The two were watching BoJack Horseman with a bong out, this had become a routine for them to watch something together before bed as Naomi's a little behind. Brendon looked at the TV to see Diane writing typing something with Bojack sitting in front of her with his feet up. "What season?" He asked Damien. "I started it over for Nemo, no spoilers." "Damn... you kinda give Sarah Lynn vibes actually." Naomi smiles and gave a slight bow. "Well uh, I've got somewhere to go tonight soooo if you need me I'll probably be getting some! Don't text meeee, byeeee~" "wait WHAT—" Brendon closed the door and ran out to his car. He pulled out his phone and texted Ash.
[Brenny <3] hey, Oscar invited me over. If you need me, give me a call alright? Naomi and Damien are still home. <3"

"HA! We all know that's not what's actually gonna happen.." Brendon turned on "Love runs out" by One Republic and drove to the address on his phone.
