If you asked me one week ago, I would say the girl in front of the mirror is so beautiful. She painted her nails scarlet, her cheeks rosy and her lips rouge. She has shiny onyx hair and her clothes fit her body so well. But right now, in front of Hogwarts Express, I don't feel beautiful. With all these nails, makeup and those eyes looking at me, I must look like a clown. Will Bella notice me? Should I take my makeup off? Did I change too much...?
Finally, Bella shows up. I smile and wave at her. At first, she just stood there looking at me then ran to me with a smile on her face. We hugged and she say "who are you?"
"Is it.. good?" I asked
"What? Girl, you look gorgeous." her words lighted up my face
Then carried our suitcases to an empty carriage. We talked until non of us have anything to say then we listened to music and we talked some more.
At the Great Hall
I sat at my house's table, Ravenclaw. Bella sat far away from me. She is Gryffindor. As the Sorting ceremony go by, my eyes only fix on one person, Fred Weasley. He's so charming and funny, and he carries his smile everywhere. The centre of the crowd, everything I wish my man to be. I've had a crush on him since my 1st year. I could only watch him from afar like what I'm doing right now. Wait. Did he just look at me? No, look at the food Madeleine. What was that? He was probably just gazing his eyes around, right? Gosh, I can't breathe, there are butterflies in my stomach. I spent my entire evening mostly looking at my food before I got to my dorm. Now, all things went dark, I was lying on my bed, thought to myself "Please let this year be kind to me"
It's Thursday. I joined Bella at breakfast. "Rise and shine, gorgeous" she smiled at me.
"Good morning, love" I greeted. Her smile became a smirk.
"What?" I asked
"Someone is shining" she replied. I just looked into her eyes with questions.
"You know what I mean," she said
"They are getting their eyes on you. Yeah. Some boys even asked me about you."
"Really? What boy?" I ask immediately
"Not him... yet" she raised her eyebrow then we both busted into laugh.
