Jay's pov:

I wake up to an alarm going off. I groan, and reach my arm out to turn it off. I try to sit up, but can't. I then remember why I can't sit up.

Lava head.

I look down at him, and he is still sleeping. He must be a really heavy sleeper to sleep through that. Well, since i'm up I might as well do something. I side out from under him, as he whined at the loss of my body. I stand up and stretch. "Man, that was a good sleep.." I mumbled to myself as I opened the door to step out of the room. But what to do? There's many things I could do... I mindlessly wandered around, as I got a call on my cellphone, so I answer, and bring it up to my ear.

"Hello?" I ask

"Hello, is this Jay Prancer by any chance?" I hear a strangely familiar voice ask.

"Yes, why? And who is this?" I ask.

"That doesn't matter right now.. But what does matter is, do you have anything to say to your little buddy Jake?"

this has to be a prank call.

"Who are you, and how do you know Jake?!"

"Fuck you! I told you already! Blood Rose! You asked, and I told you!"

That's Jack. He sold me out.. Fuck.. No No No.... This can't be real!

"You know what, lets just kill you now!" The figure yelled, and there was a loud bang, then silence.

"Alright Jay... Listen.. we'll give you a chance to come back.. we know you're with the Blood Rose pack. We could easily take over, and invade the pack, but no. Come back, and we won't take over Blood Rose, and Kill most members."

"Fuck you! That was my friend! I'm not going anywhere! You guys are fucking sick! Come on if you want! We are ready!" I yelled.

There was silence, and then the phone call was cut.

Shit. I gotta tell Alpha. But, all of a sudden, I felt something hug me from behind.

"Jay, who was that?" A familiar voice asked.

Kyle! I don't know, but he's all that I want!

I spin around, and hug him back, just to slowly start crying.

"Hey, hey now. What's wrong Jay?" He said, in a soothing voice, and moved us onto the couch. I couldn't form any words, so I just sat there, crying into his shoulder.

"Alright... Alright. I won't force it out of you. You're alright Jay.. I'm here now." He said, and started rubbing my back.

"I-I need to g-go to alpha.." I managed to mumble through my sobbing.

"I'm coming with you... If you're this upset about something, I want to be there for you." He said, and stood up, carrying me.

Wow.. This is a first.. For once Kyle is actually the dom in our relationship. He ends up carrying me all the way to alphas office, as I sob into his shoulder.

"Who is it this time?" He said, angrily, almost like a growl.

"It's Kyle, and Jay. Future alpha and beta."

"Come in."

Kyle sets me down so I can finally walk, and we both walk in to take a seat.

"Welcome you two! Anything I can help you guys with? Water? A quick snack?" He offered.

Kyle looked at me, and I shook my head.

"No. We're good." He said, voice almost in a mumble.

"Alright then, why'd you guys come to my office?" He said, looking up at us, from his folders.

"W-well alpha.." I finally speak up.

"I just received a phone call, and I fear the Blood Rose might be in danger." I say looking down.

When I do look up, I see Alpha has gone pale. Almost like he's seen a ghost.

"How do you know this?" He asked, voice low.

"I-I got a call from my old pack... One of my friends sold me out.. Told me I had went to the Blood Rose pack.. they want me back, said they'd come kill everyone here.. Then.." I trailed off, not wanting to explain what happened.

"Alright... Alright... Listen. We'll give you two options.. either one, you go back to your old pack, fulfil their demands... Or you can stay.. Remember, Blood Rose is family. When one of us goes to war... We all do. Report back to me tomorrow if you wish to stay. If not, then I completely understand your decision."

"Thank you, Alpha."

"No problem, now go. I have to think about how we can defend when they invade."

I nod, and walk out with Kyle.

"J-Jay, are you really considering-"

I cut Kyle off, and say,

"No, Kyle I'm really not. I'm staying with Blood Rose."

"Oh, thank the goddess! I don't know what I would do without my mate.."

"Listen.. to take your mind off of it, let's go watch the sunrise." I say, and start walking to an open hill, not too far from our dorm.

"Eh, I'm more of a night person, but I still like watching the sunrise." He says, as we get to the top of the hill. We both sit down, and start to relax. I could tell Kyle's stress was somewhat relieved while just sitting with me.

"You know, this really is nice." I say, and look over at him.

"Yeah.. It is. Thanks for this... I really needed it. If your old pack does come, just remember, Blood Rose is family, and we'd die for family."

I began to say something, but Kyle speaks up again.

"And I'd die for you."

"Kyle, what are you talking about? The future alpha, the future beta, us two, inseparable... Unstoppable.. Trust me, when the time comes, It's gonna be the entirety of Blood Rose standing over the bodies, and prisoners of Dark Moon."

He chuckles. 

"Yeah, guess you're right.. But what if it doesn't go down like that? What if they stand atop of us? Worse... What if.."

He cut himself off, as his voice was starting to break.

"Nonsense.. When the time comes, I WILL make sure they pay for invading pack grounds." I say, and embrace him in a hug.

He hugs back, just as the sun starts to rise.

But, what if he was right? What if they do stand over us? What if they take no prisoners and the Blood Rose ceases to exist? For now, I just have to push those thoughts aside, and stay positive. After all,

Blood Rose is family.

They need me.
