-Izuku at age 4-
Inside a hospital, a mother and her son wait patiently. The boy's patience immensely smaller than his mother beside him. Both had green hair and eyes. The woman's features a darker shade. Whereas the boy's eyes were like emeralds, sparkling with unparalleled happiness within. The most beautiful pair of eyes, according to the mother. He received many compliments about them from everyone he meets. Of all aspects of himself, he treasured his eyes the most.
The woman's name is Midoriya Inko, and the boy is Midoriya Izuku. Inko was the sweetest lady. Always going out of her way to help others that were in need. Participating down at the local shelter to help quite often. She was a wonderful cook, constantly making enough to hand out to those on the streets. The neighbors adored visiting to chat and eat the scrumptious cakes she and Izuku baked together.
Izuku has learned a lot by watching his mother. Learning a kindness that could surpass a saint. His joy infectious to all those around. Well, everyone except his best friend Bakugou Katsuki. But Izuku never let it dishearten him. He remained a strong pillar of encouragement for many, ranging from those younger than him to even those of the elderly. To this day nothing seemed to be able to break his spirit.
Izuku has spent his whole life looking up to and almost idolizing heroes. Wanting to become a hero as well when he grows up. Hope a constant entity dwelling inside him.
A child's fourth birthday is an important milestone in this age. The day when a child receives their quirk.
Today was finally that day for Izuku! The two of them were waiting inside to see the quirk doctor. Izuku buzzing in his seat with unbridled excitement, unable to contain his anxious nerves from seeping through. Inko patted him on his thigh to get him to calm down.
"Izuku, sweetie. Calm down. It won't be much longer." she assured the small boy. He was becoming more jittery the longer they waited.
"Mrs. Midoriya?" a doctor called out from a door near the receptionist desk. The mother and son duo stood to follow the doctor.
"So little guy, you excited?" the doctor asked the boy, now sitting on the table in the room. Izuku nodded his head eagerly. The doctor chuckled. "Alright then, in just ten more minutes you will find out what exactly makes you special in this world!" It came out a bit prejudice, clearly showing he had no regard for those that did not have that certain power to make one 'special'. But it did not occur to four-year-old Izuku how wrong the sentence was. He buzzed with more excitement than before.
Ten minutes has passed when the doctor walked back in. He had a smile on his face, but an underlying hint of concern in his eyes was perceived by Inko. She looked at the doctor, worry twisting her insides. "Yes doctor? Did you find out what it is?" Inko asked frantically.
"Yes, we did. We have us here our own little angel. It is a healing quirk. Well, more than that really. It's an incredibly strong quirk. Do you remember what you learn in school about quirks that are stronger than others?" The doctor asked Izuku as he stood in front of him. Izuku's bright eyes sparkled as he shook his head.
"Yes sir! The teachers say that those with stong quirks have to be extra careful! The drawback can hurt a lot." Izuku said sensibly, his words innocent.
"Good. That is good. You remember that Izuku, alright? Now the exact aspects of your quirk could change as you get older or reveal certain things about your quirk that was otherwise unknown." The doctor explained to Izuku. The boy eagerly nodded his head barely listening to the doctor's warning.
"Now, we don't have a quirk like this in our system. So, what would you like to name it?" Izuku beamed at the question asked of him. He was silent for a moment, thinking hard about it. "Angel's Touch"
The doctor smiled sweetly at Izuku before inputting the word 'angel's touch' into the computer in Izuku's quirk information.
Then motioned Inko out to the hallway. "Okay. I am just going to have a few words with your mother, and you will be already to go. Okay?"
Izuku smiled brightly at the two while kicking his feet back and forth as they slipped just outside the door, shutting it securely behind them. "Mrs. Midoriya. It might be wise to keep a close eye on Izuku for quite a while. His quirk is a very strong one indeed, other abilities aside from healing may even arise. But the drawbacks seen for the healing are dire, especially for his young age. If he attempts or even accidentally heals another person, he will not be able to control it well enough to not receive extensive damage to himself. So, I must press that he does not use this healing ability. At least not until he is older." the doctor stressed.
She eyed him with nervousness, wringing her hands fretfully. "Doctor, how am I supposed to tell him that he has a quirk, but until he is older, he is practically quirkless? You know how children are these days. They will continue to badger him and tease him until he shows proof that he does indeed have a quirk."
"I don't know the answer to that, I am afraid. But Mrs. Midoriya, it is very important for the well-being of your child that he does not use those healing abilities." His words were an ominous foreshadowing of trouble unforeseen to the blissfully innocent boy on the other side of the door.
