So. Sorry and Thank You. I wrote this a while ago if I'm going to be honest, so the writing style may be a bit different from Hummingbird and Canary. This is the first piece of short fiction I'd ever written that I'm actually proud of, the only other piece of writing from before this is a novelette that I only like because I spent 8 months planning, writing and editing the thing. BUT DETAILS, so how I wrote this piece.
It's a bit similar to how I wrote Hummingbird and Canary, just without the whole diary format and stuff. Sorry and Thank You is -- similarly -- also about childhood friends and grief, but in this one I wanted to get across a sense of forgiveness. By the way, similarly, I also had the original draft of killing Mallory in the emergency room, or just straight up in front of Raine, but y'know, friends going how 'it's too tragic you can't do that'. I'd say I like the changes I made though. It's always important to get a second viewpoint to your writing because at the end of the day... it's the reader who's the one reading it.
Yeah, so hope you enjoyed. I'm also planning another piece of writing that's connected to this one, but I won't make too many spoilers.
