"hi" whispered seungcheol, his face had a smile. He called jeonghan over, and the said guy had a sad smile welcoming him. "why did you-" before han could finish his sentence, seungcheol embraced him in a warm hug which jeonghan melted in. "you came!" cheol seemed happy to see him but han wasn't.

"what's up with that letter cheol?" jeonghan asked his eyes never leaving seungcheol's. taking a deep sigh, cheol started "jeonghan, I know that your life with me hasn't been easy at all. you cared for me in every way that I could never pay back. you showed me ways where I couldn't find any. you are the light of my life, without you..my life is not complete-"

jeonghan was listening carefully but his mind was on something else. he was sure that cheol was trying to break up with him.

"hey, what happened?" jeonghan asked, back hugging him. seungcheol's mind was messed up at the moment. he was sure he wanted to say those three words when he came into the park. but when the time has come, he can't let out those words. "I..uh.." he uttered.

jeonghan thought about cheol breaking up with him and it hurt him as if a fire had caught him in a circle. he spoke, "yah! if you want to break up, then let me say it first!"

seungcheol was left in a haze. "huh? b-break up?!" he laughed.

jeonghan just nodded and said, "didn't you ask me to come here so you can break up with me!?" he let out a huff when he saw the man having the best laugh of his life.

"yah! stop laughing and tell me the real thing!" even if jeonghan shouted to him to speak, the said man didn't bother and held his stomach as he laughed.

after a long moment of laughing, seungcheol finally got down on one knee.

jeonghan, who was astonished to see this spoke with amusement, "what are you up to now? proposing to me?" he laughed.

just in time, the evening sky turned to hues of serenity and rose quartz. seungcheol blinked his eyes 3 times and suddenly the fountain near the two lit up with lights and pink-coloured water.

(if only someone did this for me too T_T)

jeonghan held up his hands to his mouth,  not believing what he was seeing at the moment.

"mr.yoon jeonghan" seungcheol started. taking a blue velvet box out of his pocket.
"you've delighted me with your presence this evening. I would like to ask you a very important question. it may bind you to a connection that you may never get rid of. will you marry me?" he finally opened the box, showing two rings.

upon hearing seungcheol's words, tears started filling up jeonghan's eyes. when seunhcheol saw it he quickly got up and wiped off the tears before even falling. he said, "stop wasting your tears, you will need them later" jeonghan ended up laughing at his comment.

"I thought you were breaking up with me!" jeonghan said, slapping seungcheol's arms. "you misunderstood! hannie" seungcheol let out an 'ouch' in pain.

"give me my answer, yoon jeonghan," he said.

jeonghan just nodded. he didn't say anything and hugged the latter.

"my answer?" cheol asked again.
"oh my god! yes! I will marry you choi  seungcheol!" jeonghan shouted.

seungcheol let out a victory smile and put on the ring on jeonghan's ring finger. "it's so pretty!" jeonghan stared at it in awe.

all of a sudden,  a bunch of people came out from their hiding places with champagne bottles and started congratulating the couple.

it was their friends.

"took you 5 years to say it, huh?" their friends teased cheol.

well, jeongcheol had a happy ending.

wait the story is not over yet.

after the proposal, seungcheol got in his car to drive jeonghan home.

on the way...their car got met with an accident.
the truck driver who failed to pull the brakes crashed into their car.

jeonghan held seungcheol's hands as the car flipped upside down.

their hearts beating getting slower and slower every second; blood spread all over in the middle of the road. hands interlocked together. everything was covered in blood except the two rings that were shining. even at that moment, seungcheol had put out his hand on jeonghan's head to not hurt his head.

sirens of the ambulance were heard. the two people lying in the blood pool were not breathing anymore. their heart has stopped beating; at the same time. jeonghan could only wonder before closing his eyes for the last time, seungcheol looking at his beautiful angel's face covered in blood; also replied with his eyes.

"why does our love have to end this way?"

"mayhaps it's not our fault"

maybe just maybe they were together in the afterlife.
