"You haven't changed. You're still so persistent, to the point of annoyance."
Eyes glow crimson for a moment at the snark statement from the silver-haired knight sitting across the elongated table. Zero suppressed a smirk, ready to get under the vampire king's skin. They're taking the time that he could use to be with his Queen away, so this will be his revenge. He has no worries, his army was nothing to scoff after all. The kingdom have reigned control over their lands with grace and power underneath her Majesty. And he will continue to do so. All his Queen needs to do is say the word and he will do what he must.
Kaname leaned back in his chair, clasping his hands together. He's still the same brat that the Queen found long ago, he thought. How insufferable, that Kaname has to be here instead with her.
"How dare you speak to His Majesty with such disrespect?!" Blue eyes spark with anger at the knight, putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. "I'll slice your tongue out of your mouth-" His lips immediately pursed as soon as Kaname's hand rose to silence him.
"Hasty as ever, Hanabusa." Says another vampire that looks of relation to the hot head. He rolls his orange-colored eyes before yawning out of boredom. One of the vampires in his court with mahogany hair was eating off the plate of another, a woman with a glare directed at him. A neatly blonde man spoke calmly as he stepped forward next to his King. "We are here for an important discussion, are we not?" Everyone seized their movements and sat in their respected seats. "Yeah.. All because the guy can't handle rejection the first time. Now the bastard is throwing a fit..." The mahogany vampire whispers under his breath, face only light up at more snacks a servant placed on the table.
Kaname should've killed his uncle once he was crowned king. Most of the eastern towns were destroyed, and many vampires that chose to follow Rido partake in human blood mercilessly. According to Ruka, Rido swore that the carnage and destruction would seize:
If Queen Makeda agreed to marry him.
He would be damned if he let that happen.
"Ichijo, if you please." He nods at Kaname before continuing. "The main thing is to protect the humans that are caught in the crossfire. We must send soldiers to help evacuate." Kaname motions to Zero. "You will have your army and the royal guard around the main cities as well as the palace. I will send my soldiers for evacuation process. If we must," Kaname expression furrowed for a brief moment. "Both armies will combine in preparation for if he attacks. Does this sound like a deal?"
Zero rubs his chin, contemplating his options. On one hand, he had to agree to work with the Pureblood and that's the last thing he'd want to do. On the other hand, there is strength in numbers and the way things are escalating, he can't waste any time. "...I will relay the plan to the Queen. However, if I sense any signs of mutiny," Kaname lips curled upwards at Zero stands, hand on his sword. "I will cut you down." The pureblood scoffed and rose, irking the knight. The candlelight dimmed in the room, both men's irises glow a blood red shine.
"I'll remember that warning, Zero."

"Here, please sit, My Lady." Ruka instructed softly, having Makeda sit down on her lounge chair. That sweet voice she heard at the throne room; who was that? It was nothing she recognized, and yet it was a sense of warning in its tone. "I shall fetch you some water and food. I'll be right back!" Makeda hand reached for air as Ruka quickly exited the room, leaving her in her frantic thoughts. The reality of this situation. "This is crazy.." She gets up, walking around the room talking to herself to try and calm down. "It's a dream.. it HAS to be right?! But everything feels so real! What do I do? What SHOULD I do!?-"
*knock, knock.*
"Your Majesty?"
She froze at the sound of another knock. His voice she knew all too well, soothing her heart though she is in unfamiliar territory. 'Oh no!' Ruka isn't back yet! "Y-yes?" She called, trying to sound as regal and intimidating as can be.
"May I come in?"
*Creeps out of hole I'm in..*
"WHO'D YOU LIKE TO COME IN??"
