Her body tensed and nerves on edge at the energy the two males emit. Zero and Kaname stare each other down, both with intense glares that could cut if it could. "Zero? What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be on patrol?" Kaname said in a calm demeanor, but Makeda suddenly felt more anxious from his irritated tone. Zero walked closer to Kaname and stood in front of her, a rumble sounds through his chest. "You're supposed to be in class, vampire. Don't touch her with your filthy hands." Makeda sighed, finally had enough and stood in between the two. "That's enough, now. Zero, lets return back." Zero looked to her for a split second before turning away, stomping down the hall. Shaking her head, Makeda turned and bowed to Kaname. "I apologize, I will see you around!" She gave him a smile and quickly ran behind the angry Zero. Kaname stared after her until she disappeared from his view, running his hands through his hair. He was trying to control his annoyance, since being interrupted. After regulating his breath and calming his beating heart, he continued to the Chairman's office.

"You don't know what you are doing to me, Makeda."

Makeda easily caught up with Zero's long strides. "Zero, why must you always fight with Kaname?" Zero scoffed and stopped before turning to her. "Why?? I just don't like him, that's why." Makeda rubbed her temples as he crossed his arms. "Zero.. How long has this been going on? Whatever has happened in the past; Just let it go!" Zeros eyes widen slightly at her as he steps closer. "And why should I?!" Makeda did not flinch as he grabbed her shoulders.

"He's dangerous!"

"He's been keeping this school safe, Zero!!"

"You don't know like I do! That bastard is a manipulator! You shouldn't be near him!"

Makeda heaved a sigh and grabbed both of Zero's hands, causing him to flinch in surprise. "Zero... May I ask you something?" She held his hands, unaware of the effect it has on him. Her hands are so soft and just feel so right to him.

"Perhaps... You dislike Kaname because you harbor something for Yuki?"

An awkward silence caused Makeda to look up at him for a sign. Instead she never seen a face of shock from him before. Suddenly, Zero let out a chuckle. "Seriously Makeda? You think it's because of that?" Makeda squeezed his hands. "Yes Zero! If it is not, then tell me! You've been acting strange lately.." His eyes widen and body warming as she faces him with concern. "I've been worried about you.." Zero was taken aback of what she had said.

She's.. worried for him?

Someone like him?

Makeda gasped as she was pulled into his arms in an embrace. She shivered as he inhaled her scent and buried his face in her neck. "I'm fine Makeda.." Makeda begins to shift at his touch, a strange sensation filling her body. 'What... is going on?' She slowly and carefully, wrapped her arms around him, still unsure of what to do. Zero released her, an amusing grin on his face. "You're always so awkward with hugs, its kind of cute." Makeda crossed her arms and pouted.

"Guuuys! There you are!"

Both of them turn to Yuki walking towards you. She slowed as she noticed the atmosphere. "Uh.. Did I miss anything?" Makeda quickly turn and walk away in embarrassment, Zero behind with a teasing smirk. "No. you have not missed much.."

The Chairman of the school, Kaien Cross, put his head on his hand and shook his head. "Kaname.. When will you stop trying to pick a fight with Zero?" The Lord of the Night Class glanced at him before sipping his nightly tea, unmoved by the chairman's question. "Until he can get his act together." Kaien sighed and pinched his nose already done with the male testosterone they give out. "You both aren't kids you know.." Suddenly he look up and grins mischievously. "..It's about Makeda, isn't it?" Kaname slightly perked at her name. "Hahaha! I was right!" It was Kanames turn to sigh, shoulders slumping.

"Chairman-"

"What?? You didn't think I'd notice?" He leans forward on his desk, intent on hearing more gossip. "I see the way you look at her, Zero too!" Kaname turned and begin to walk out of the room. "That is why you have called me here today? To make fun and get me more irritated?" "Kaname.." He stops and looks over his shoulder at the Chairman. "Don't let your jealousy of Zero get out of hand, now.." Kaname continues out to the hall.
