The bell rang loudly telling me the class period was over. I signed and lifted my hand "Okay class I expect your papers to be turned in by Monday morning! I will be checking my inbox all weekend so if you have any questions you can send me an email. Have a great weekend!" As students filed out of the classroom Oliver caught my eye, he is just hovering around my desk like a buzzing bee.

"Oliver? Can I help you?" I narrowed my eyes trying to not be so suspicious of him but he is kind of a troubled student. "Yeah Ms.Y, you remember how you said your back deck was falling apart? Well I told my dad and he said if you wanted he could come out to take a look. See if he could help maybe." He smiled while keeping his eyes on the wall behind me, this kid never made eye contact, I see why he is in my class. I nodded my head while taking a seat at my desk.

"Well, Oliver since your dad owns the only construction company in this small town I was going to call him anyways." I chuckled at him, his eyes getting wide. "But since you already mentioned it to him, would he be able to come by today?" I tilted my head to look up at him since he was standing so close to my desk, my next class started to file in.

"I suppose so, it's the house a Tanine Drive right?" I nodded my head, writing him his pass for his next class. "Yes," I handed him the pass "421 Tanine Drive." He took his pass, looked over his shoulder then back to me. "Ms. Y?" He whispered I almost didn't hear him. He was so quiet. "Yes Oliver?" I whispered back, maybe he didn't want anyone else to hear. "I'll let him know, what time works?" This little shit, I sighed and sat back in my chair. He was just killing time. "Well school is out at three o'clock, I leave here around three forty-five so why don't you tell him about four- thirty?" The bell rang as he nodded his head as he turned on his heel and left the room. I shook my head, "Good afternoon" I addressed my class. It was going to be a long period.

By the time I had looked back at the clock since talking to Oliver it was two-fifty-five. I stood from my desk and made my way to the white board. While I wrote I said "Okay class, you have a paper due Monday, since it is Friday I expect you to have plenty of time to get it done." I turned around so they could see my face. "We have two weeks left of school, that is counting next week. If you turn in your paper Monday I won't make you take the final. So, since you have had two weeks to get this done and all I am asking for is your final draft, it really shouldn't be that hard." Groans came from the back, some kids threw their heads back in lack of motivation while others were just glad they didn't have to take the final. "Now it is five minutes till the bell. Get out of here, enjoy your weekend but also please get your papers turned in." I waved them out as they rushed to be the first out the door. Laughing, I sat down at my desk to finish some paperwork. I figured it'd be best to head home early so I could clean up a bit.

As I walked out to my car Oliver came up to me. "Ms.Y!" I turned my head in his direction before I stopped, waiting for him to get to me. I was already standing by my car so I unlocked it and threw it in bag. "Yes Oliver? I was about to head home." I gave him a pointed look, I just wanted to get the meeting over with his dad so I could take a bath, turn my trusty purple vibrating friend on and go to bed.

He nodded his head "I know, I just wanted to let you know that my uncle is coming with my dad too, he owns half the company." He waved his hand around while he talked, I noticed he did that a lot when he was nervous. I guess it is a good thing he didn't want to be a public speaker. I nodded "Okay, that's fine. I'm going to head home now. Am I still going to see them at four thirty?" I opened my car door "Yes, they may be early though." He gave a nervous laugh. Why is this kid so nervous? What is he planning? "Okay, see you Monday Oliver, and don't forget about your paper." I got in and started the car. Oliver took a step back waving as I drove home, the drive was short. I don't live far, since Theo passed I moved to a few towns over, just somewhere small where the cops don't know who I am or what happened to Theo. No one here knows I was married or why I moved here.
