"I don't know how you can stand being seen with him."

"He's my friend Katsuki and I wanna hang out with him. He used to be your friend too."

"Don't remind me. And it was a long time ago."

School had ended not long ago, and the Bakugou's had gone back to their house. Y/N so he could change out of his uniform into more comfortable clothes for the heat of the September afternoon, especially since he and Izuku were going to be outside in the park.

But as he was about to leave he bumped into Katsuki, who had changed as well and was also planning on heading out. And as Y/N expected, he wasn't too fond of the idea of his twin fraternizing with a quirkless kid.

"Why don't you come do a workout with me instead. We both agreed we'd stay on the same schedule. I've got a couple new exercises I wanna try."

"Sure I'd love to come, If Izuku can as well."

Katsuki turned his nose up at the idea. "As if, the last thing I want is him stalking me so he can put me in that dumb book he's always carrying around. That's the only thing that's made me think twice about being a hero you know."

Y/N snickered at the comment, and Katsuki chuckled too. He thought Y/N was laughing with him, which he was in part. But the blue eyed twin didn't have the heart to tell him about the other reason he was laughing. If he knew that Izuku had very detailed notes about both of them he'd hit the roof, and probably blow Izuku's head off.

"If you don't wanna do a workout today, that's cool. It's not like we really need to with our quirk anyway, it's as good as it gets so there's no way UA won't let us in. And I guess I might as well walk over there with you too, I've got nothin' better to do."

Y/N was glad he let up and decided to join him for the walk over. He had sort of expected him to as a matter of fact. After spending 14 years with his brother and often watching him as he took the lead in situations, Y/N was able to accurately predict his next move in many instances. And he knew that if he was about to go out on his own, ten chances to one he would be joined.

"... And then all these feathers swarmed the villains and carried them right into the police van!"

Izuku waved his arms around in an effort to describe his story more effectively, making a swooping motion with one down into the other. All the while an extensive grin remained on his face, growing more and more as he progressed with each detail of the encounter with the number three pro hero. The joy it brought him was so blatantly obvious, and Y/N couldn't help but smile at the fact.

"I wanted to get his autograph, but I couldn't get through the crowd before he flew away. I know I can't explain it in an exciting way, but you and Kachaan would have thought it was really cool!"

"I wish we were there too Izuku." Y/N agreed, glancing in the direction Katsuki had left in.

He stayed with Y/N until they ran into Izuku, and after scaring the poor boy with his looks alone he had left to do some sort of workout. Y/N imagined he was still close by, a thought that either Izuku didn't share or didn't bother him. Which was one thing Y/N could never understand.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure Y/N." Izuku replied happily, anticipating a question regarding his encounter with Hawks. He was ready and eager to answer anything.

Y/N paused for a moment, the sound of the gravel crunching under their shoes filling the void.

"Why do you like Katsuki?"

"Oh." In just one word that happiness was decimated, and now it was Izuku's turn to plunge their conversation into silence.

"I know I ask you that a lot, and I'm sorry," Y/N suddenly found guilt creeping into his consciousness for bringing the subject up and ruining Izuku's joy without consideration.
