Jade's POV:

I don't know what's going on with me right now. I mean, ever since Perrie and I had that moment when we just looked into each other's eyes, and then Perrie whispered into my ear, I can't stop thinking back to those moments. I don't know if it's because I haven't been in a relationship in like 5 years, or the affection feels different to me for some reason. Maybe I'm on my period or something, I don't know.

When we got back to my apartment from the mall, Perrie got a call on her phone. As I was putting away some of the things I bought from the mall in my room, I heard Perrie speaking to whoever called her,

"What? What do you mean? Are you serious? Mom, no. Please tell me you're joking," I could tell something was wrong from the frantic tone in her voice. Worried, I walked out of my room, she was still on the phone but I saw tears in her eyes, I walked up next to her, not interrupting her conversation but I wanted to be there for whatever was wrong. I put a hand on her back, and she glanced at me, still on the phone.

"Okay, yeah... I love you t-too." The last word came out with her voice cracking. She hung up and immediately started crying. I grabbed her hand and lead her to the couch, as soon as we sat down I wrapped my arms around her,

"Shh, It's okay. Shh... Shh," I held her in my arms as she cried, loudly. I've never seen her like this. I mean, don't get me wrong, she does have her moments but I've never seen it this bad.

"Perrie, baby, stop it for a second, here, sit up," I instructed softly, she needed to get her breathing under control.

"Breathe with me, okay? Breathe slowly in... and out." I held her hand as she listened to my instructions. Once I got her to calm down, I hugged her tightly again, holding her close to me. My heart broke seeing her so hurt. I don't even know what she is upset about but I still feel so, so bad. She doesn't deserve to cry, ever.

"Perrie, look at me," I said softly, she looked up at me, her eyes red a puffy from crying so much. My heart ached to see her so sad. "Whatever happened, I promise you'll get through it. And you will be okay." I spoke softly as if speaking any louder would scare her. She didn't respond, she just looked at me, intently. Once again, we are staring into each other's eyes, and I didn't want to move. I've never seen such pretty eyes, not even on my ex-boyfriend. Perrie is just.. different. My heart started racing when I saw Perrie glance at my lips, I glanced at hers as well. Wait, what am I doing? She's my best friend, and I'm straight. Stop it.

"Um.. how about we order some food and just chill out for the rest of the day. Hopefully, it will get your mind off of whatever happened." I said, she blinked a few times and nodded her head,

"Yeah, okay." She said, getting up from me. As soon as she got off of me, I missed her touch. What the fuck?

A/N: I think I know where I'm going with this (:
