Perrie's POV:
I totally freaked Jade out. Now, she is being very quiet and awkward because of me. I tried so hard not to stare for too long but I did and now she hates me.
"Okay, the food is on the way." She said, putting her phone in her back pocket. I nodded and sniffled, my nose was all red. Here's the context. My dad was sent to the hospital because of a heart attack, all while Jade and I were at the mall, I didn't check my phone so I didn't even know he was there. And he... you know. My dad was my rock. We had so many father-daughter things we loved to do. Painting, singing, acting, and writing. And now, he's gone. He meant so much to me, and now he's gone.
"Perrie?" Jade said. I snapped my head over and was surprised to see her right next to me, I gulped and widened my eyes a little,
"Yes?" I mumbled. She didn't say anything, she just put a hand on my knee,
"Your mom called me." She said. I knew it. My mom thinks of Jade as a second daughter so Jade knows just about as much as I do, about everything. I sighed, "I know." I said. Jade's face softened,
"Oh, Pez I'm so sorry." She wrapped her arms around me, pulling me closer to her. I clung to her closely, feeling safer. Maybe she is just doing this for sympathy, or maybe she still thinks what I did earlier was awkward.
I sniffled,
"I'm so so sorry Pez. But I promise I've got you." She said, rocking me back and forth. We stayed like that for a while, before the doorbell rang. Jade kissed my head before getting up and going to the door, grabbing the pizza we ordered. My heart erupted with butterflies again. I mean, we always kiss each other's cheeks and stuff for photos but of course when you like someone and then they kiss you, it's gonna be a little difficult to keep control of yourself.
Jade and I ate our food as we watched TV, and as soon as we were done, Jade looked at me,
"You know I love you, right?" She said.
"Yeah, of course. I love you too." I said. Jade looked at me for a few seconds, but I noticed a change in her expression like she was confused and afraid. But she quickly snapped out of it and smiled, I could tell the smile was forced.
"Good." She said. I eyed her for a second before looking back at the TV. We loved watching "Friends" together. It was like our thing. We'd binge episodes for hours, and if we fell asleep we would re-watch the parts we missed. So, we loved friends.
It was about 9:30 and I was getting tired.
"Jade," I mumbled, she turned her head,
"Perrie," She responded. I smiled a little,
"I'm tired. I'm gonna head home." I said, standing up. "Oh, okay." She said, kinda sounding surprised.
"It's just, you know how my mom is. Unless you want me to stay here? I can text her." I said, she stood up,
"No, no it's okay babe. Your family needs you right now." She said softly. I nodded and smiled softly. She walked up closer and hugged me tightly,
"Goodnight. I love you." She said.
"I love you too."
