----------
It was at a concert in LA that he first saw her, standing in the crowd. Low ponytail, 5sos t-shirt, ripped skinny jeans, black converse, a wide smile and a gleam in her eye. She was breathtaking. Dancing and singing along to all of their songs as if she had done it countless times before. He couldn't take his eyes away from her for more than 30 seconds. Though it didn't seem like she noticed. She was too busy dancing to notice his stare.
Once the concert was over, Michael was the first to say something to him.

"Luke, why were you staring at that girl soooo much."

"Huh?"

"You're so creepy." Mike chuckled before chugging the rest of the water in his water bottle and walking back to the dressing room.

Luke didn't think he was staring that much.
.
The second time he saw her was at a party 3 days later. She was on the dance floor dancing the night away. Her eyes half closed and a grin spread across her face, she was just as breathtaking as before, this time dressed in purple vans, jean shorts, and a Foo Fighters muscle top.

"Why don't you just go talk to her mate. You've been staring for like 15 minutes."

Luke looked up at Calum. He had a cup of something that looked like Jack Daniels in his hand and a bit of lipstick on his neck.

"I wouldn't know what to say. She seems okay without me interrupting her time. Seems like she doesn't want to be bothered." He turned his attention back to her as the music transitioned into something by Fall Out Boy.

"Suit yourself. Oh and Michael says when you're done being a creep, go find him and get wasted. Or something like that..." He shrugged and took a sip of his drink, "Just know he wants to get drunk with you."

"Okay."

But he forgot all about Michael's request watching her that night. And afterwards, when he helped Ashton drag a wasted Calum and almost passed out Michael to the hotel, he couldn't get her out of his head. He couldn't sleep that night. And he'd like to think it's because he couldn't get the picture of her happy smile out of his head, but it was probably Michael puking his brains out that kept sleep at bay.
.
The third time he saw her, he was in a store. It was after 1am on a Sunday night and he had no idea what the name of the little market was called or when it closed. He just knew Calum would kill him if he didn't get him a bag of cookies to repay him for eating all of his. There were maybe 5 other customers there and he could tell by the lack of noise and workers that the store would be closing soon. After running around a bit, he was at the checkout with a bag of limited edition mini Oreos, a sprite and a pack of gum. He hadn't even looked up at the cashier- he was too busy trying to smooth out the cash he had crumpled up in his pocket- until she spoke.

"6.78 please." A soft voice spoke to him.

He handed her two fives and looked up at her face. After looking at her for a few seconds, his eyes widened. It was her. He opened his mouth to say something but quickly closed it. He was nervous.
She handed him his change and looked up at his face. She gasped a bit.

"Oh my gosh, Luke!"

He blinked a few times, his brain trying to find words. Which was seeming like a very difficult task at that moment.

"I'm a huge fan! I was at a concert like a week ago." She smiled at him.

"H-hi." he mentally facepalmed. He could've been a bit smoother.

She giggled before handing him his bag of food items with a smile. He took it slowly then blurted out-

"I have to know your name!"

She blinked at him and his cheeks turned pink. He didn't mean to say it like that. It was word vomit.

"Y/N. My name is Y/N."

"I'm Luke! Er- you already knew that sorry." His cheeks were now scarlet, "I um. This might sound creepy, but I've seen you a ton and I love watching you. Not like, in a creepy way, I promise! I just, I noticed you at the concert and I saw you at a party the other night. You were dancing and looked so happy and very very pretty and I couldn't look away. And I didn't realize how much I wanted to talk to you until just now." He gushed.

She giggled again, "Well, seeing how the store is about to close in a minute, and you're the last customer and i have nothing to do after this, you can talk to me as much as you'd like."

He smiled at her words, and just as he's about to reply with a suggestion to go to a 24 hour Starbucks and get coffee, his phone rings. He jumps, and pulls it from his back pocket. A goofy picture of Calum fills the screen. Sending Y/N an apologetic smile, he answers the phone quickly.
The conversation lasts all of 2 minutes. In which Cal is yelling at Luke to hurry up because he really wants his cookies and he's going to punch him in the dick if he's not back in 10 minutes.

"I have to go. But I want to talk to you all night if that's alright. Can I get your number?" He squeaks out to her.

"Sure!" She scribbles it on a piece of paper and hands it to him, "I'll be looking forward to having a long conversation with you later."

"Definitely." He breathes before saying goodbye and running out the door.
.
The 20th time he sees her, he's at the beach. She's looking for shells in the sand while he builds a sandcastle over his outstretched legs.

"Look! This shell represents my soul Lukey!" She exclaims, thrusting the shell towards his face.

He smiles at her and nods in agreement. It was a broken piece of a spiral shell. It was a faded red with sporadic swirls of white and purple. She sat down next to him with the shell in her hand. She giggled at his sand castle.

"What?"

"Your castle is kind of sad. It reminds me of the one Stitch made in Lilo and Stitch."

"Hmmm. Maybe you're right."

"How about you try again?" She looks up at him and he sees a familiar gleam in her eye.

"I have a better idea."

"What is it?"

"How about you be my girlfriend." He says with a cheeky grin.

She blinks twice before responding softly with a smile.

"Okay."
.
The 40th time he sees her, they're in a club somewhere in London. Or at least, he thinks they're in London. He's not really sure of much after 12 shots of vodka. He's feeling a bit out of it and just wants to leave. They've been there for hours and there weren't that many people there anymore seeing as it was after 3am.
He turns to ask her if she's ready to go and sees she's run off to the dance floor. Dancing alone to the tune of a song by All Time Low-Luke recognizes as Time Bomb- in a black tank top, ripped skinny jeans and combat boots she stole from Ashton. She was having the time of her life all alone singing the lyrics with her eyes closed dancing in circles. He didn't have the heart to stop her and ask her to leave. She was so happy slipping from reality for a bit. So he joined her. And they danced until the sun came up.
He didn't regret it at all.
.
The 57th time he saw her, they were at a party in LA that Cal dragged everyone to. Luke didn't want to be there. But everyone else did. So he chugged 2 beers and sucked it up. It was sometime after 2am when she came up to him.

"... Do you want to get out of here Luke?"

"Oh no. Don't let me ruin your fun. Go dance. I'm alright." He smiled a smile that didn't even reach the blush at the tip of his cheeks.

"You can't fool me love. It's written all over your face." She stuck a hand out for him to grab, "Come on. Let's go."

He smiled a real smile and grabbed her hand. They spent that night cuddling and watching movies. And the smile never left either of their faces.
