A/N: I believe there're some things that I'm about to write... Laxus won't say them. It's probably gonna be OOC...

- At Fairy Tail -
Rai tried to be her usual self as she walked through the hall, greeting her nakama as usual. As she reached Makarov's room, Rai took a deep breathe and knocked on the door.
"Come in."
"I'm back, Jijiang." (A/N: she calls him Grandpa because he raised her like his own.)
"Good job, Rai." Makarov smiled as he looked outside the window.
"Thank you. ... Ano, Jijiang... Actually I've something to tell you." Rai tried to calm herself down.
Makarov turned around and looked at Rai, signalling her to continue. Rai began telling Makarov what happened to her during the quest, and what Poluchka told her.
"I see... So when do you plan to leave?" Makarov sounded like his usual self, but Rai could see that he was worried.
"Probably tomorrow... and... Don't worry, I'll be fine." Rai tried to force a smile on a face, but failed terribly.
Makarov smiled, giving her assurance. "So... Are you gonna tell him about it?"
Rai was slightly taken aback, she looked down and shook her head. Her eyes are filled with tears which threatened to fall anytime, but she managed to hold it in somehow.
"I see. But I hope you can get someone to accompany you. Like what Poluchka said, it's better to have someone there to protect you since you shouldn't use any magic."
"I'll try to find someone to go with me by tomorrow. I should go get ready soon... I'll inform you when I leave tomorrow. See you tomorrow, Jijiang."
Makarov nodded. Rai turn around and the first thing she saw was Laxus standing outside the door, looking at her with shocked expression.
Her first instinct was to get away IMMEDIATELY. And in order to do that, she used magic to "escape". Her magic transported her (A/N: just assume her magic can do this) to the big tree where they always hang out. The moment she was there, her knees had gone weak and she sunk to the ground, with her back resting against the tree.
Oh my... I really shouldn't use magic, should I? Hah... She thought to herself.
"Are you an idiot?"
Rai knew instantly whose voice does this belongs to and she wanted to use magic again but Laxus stopped her before she could. Laxus came out from nowhere and grabbed her wrist.
"Are you insane? You know you shouldn't use magic. You really are an idiot."
"Yes I'm an idiot... Just leave me alone..." Rai looked away, and trying to free her wrist from Laxus, but he is just too strong.
"No, especially not after what you've just told Jiji." Laxus slowly release his grip.
"Eavesdropping is rude, just so you know."
"Shut up, I just happened to pass by. That's all."
And after a few minutes of silence, Laxus continued, "I'll go with you."
Rai's eyes widened, not believing what she has just heard. "You... What?!"
Laxus looked into her eyes and repeated, "I'll go with you."
Rai felt the heat on her face rising, and looked away.
"No. I'll be fine by myself. You don't have to go with me, really."
"Don't be stubborn. You know you can't be fine going alone. I'll pick you up tomorrow morning. That's it." Laxus left right after saying those words.
What an overbearing guy! I... Why is he doing this... I thought he doesn't care anymore... Oh, or maybe he's doing this because I'm afterall a member of Fairy Tail? I...
- The next day, at Rai's house -
Just as Rai had her bag readied and was about to head out, Laxus came in.
"W-why didn't you knock?! Gosh... What if I'm changing or something?" Rai glared at him.
He just looked away without saying, with his face appearing slightly red.
"Argh, whatever. We need to head to Fairy Tail. I need to inform Jijiang that I'm leaving." Rai said as she carried her bag and head towards the door.
"Okay."
- At Fairy Tail -
"Jijiang, I'll be leaving now."
"He's going with you?" Makarov asked as he looked slightly surprised.
Rai turned to look at Laxus and sighed, "Yes."
"Alright, be careful when you're out there." Makarov smiled.
"I'll be careful. You take care too, Jijiang."
"Oh Laxus, I need to talk to you. Rai, please go ahead first." Makarov looking serious.
"Okay. Bye, Jijiang." Rai waved and headed out.
Hmmm... I wonder what is Jijiang gonna talk about with him.
After waiting for awhile outside, Laxus came out. "Let's go."
"Laxus... What did Jijiang talk to you about?" Rai looked at Laxus.
"cough... Nothing much." He looked away as he said.
"Really? Hmmm... Then why are you blushing?"
"I AM NOT!"
"Okay okay... Anyway let's head West from here. Poluchka mentioned the Myste appeared somewhere in the West from here. We should start from there."
Laxus nodded.
And so the two started their journey together to look for Myste.
