Rai, an orphan, found on the streets somewhere near Fairy Tail by Master Makarov Dreyar when she was a baby. He raised her as his own, and so she grew up with Laxus. Both of them are two of the few S-Level wizards in Fairy Tail. Laxus is a Lightning Dragon Slayer, while Rai is a Water Dragon Slayer. They are really strong.
When they were young, both of them do everything together. Laxus was kind when he was young, and he adores his Jijiang (Grandpa) way more than anyone else. However, his personality started to change when his efforts went unrecognized, and when his father, Ivan Dreyar got expelled by the very person he adores. Laxus started hating Makarov, and their relationship changed ever since. He became arrogant, overbearing, selfish, and prone to make fun of his nakama. It was also then when the relationship between Rai and Laxus started to change.
And then Laxus tried to take over Fairy Tail. Of course, he failed to do so and was expelled by Makarov. However, after he was defeated by Natsu, his attitude changed. Rai was glad, but that did not help to improve their relationship. When Laxus left, Rai started taking up lots of quests. Raijinshuu was really worried about Rai and tried persuading her to take it slowly but to no avail. Rai refused to listen, and she continued to tire herself out. The only reason she is doing so is to become stronger. She wanted to have the power to protect her loved ones.
And finally one day, Laxus got to return to Fairy Tail.

A/N: I used my phone to type so if the format is off, really sorry. Anyway this is just like an introduction to the female protagonist? I'm pretty long-winded so my story is probably gonna take some time... Sorry for the short first chapter. I'll try to type using my laptop.
