Alec-

Alec Volturi had lived for a VERY long time. So long that he hardly even remembered many details of his mortal life, but the one thing he would never forget was the searing pain humans brought upon him. No matter how much he wished the pain would go away, it would never leave him. That was the difference between Jane and himself, Jane wanted everyone to feel her pain, but Alec just prayed he would never have to feel it again.

It was such a mundane day, seemingly infinitely more of a drag than normal. That is until Edward Cullen requested for the Volturi to end his suffering. "How melodramatic," thought Alec as he rolled his eyes at the pathetic bunny muncher. It was rare for a vampire to come to the Volturi seeking to end their lives, but Alec wasn't complaining, it was somewhat entertaining seeing the Golden eyed Vampire beg on his knees for death. In the end, Aro decided the Cullen possessed a power too "valuable" to destroy, a subtle way to say that he would not kill the son of one of his only and closest friends because he was going through a pathetic phase. Alec couldn't understand why the Cullen boy felt so much for a human, to him, they were nothing more than food, something to quench his never-ending thirst. Of course, Aro was a step ahead of the Cullen boy, knowing he would attempt to expose himself to get what he wanted, he ordered Demetri and Felix to watch over him and intervene before he would do something... Drastic.

It wasn't long before Jane was sent to fetch their guests, Felix and Demetri were taking an awfully long time. Alec wouldn't voice it but he was looking forward to the trial to come, he wondered what spectacle Edward Cullen would make of himself to feel the sweet embrace of death. A few minutes passed by before the soft clicks of Jane's heels were heard, slightly muffled by the sound of other shoes shuffling alongside her.

Jane opened the doors and made her way toward Alec, " Sister, they send you out to get one and you bring back two, and two halves" remarked Alec with a flat voice. He let his eyes roam across their guests and caught the shortest human girl's eyes. Alec was stunned, frozen in his place as he stared at the girl. There was something about her that intrigued him, something about the twinkle in her eyes as she rolled them, there was something in her voice as she quietly responded to his jab at the human girls. "Two halves make a whole Гений (Genius)" muttered the small brunette. Her remark made him smirk in amusement. The girl's small figure was hidden behind the Cullens and Bella, she looked absolutely harmless in Alec's eyes, but of course, he was no fool to the cold, distant look in her eyes. She was not to be underestimated.

He couldn't help but take in the unfamiliar figure. She was short, but not as short as the pixie-like seer. She had relatively long, dark hair which seemed to add to her angelic appearance. Her brown eyes were mesmerizing, Alec couldn't help but get lost in the sea of brown. She was Beautiful, and Alec hated the way he was feeling for a lowly human. Suddenly, the voice of his master broke the train of thought that quickly began to plague his mind.

"What a happy surprise, Bella is alive after all.: Stated Aro with excitement, things had just gotten exciting. "And who is this Edward, I don't recall seeing her in your memories," exclaimed Aro while taking Edward's hand. If Alec was being honest he was no longer paying attention to the trial, instead, the small brunette had managed to ensnare his mind.

Olivia-

As soon as Olivia entered the room she felt a pair of eyes following me. As she looked up to see the shameless culprit, her brown eyes clashed with a pair of red rubies. The strange boy looked to be about her age, but Olivia knew looks could be deceiving, especially in a castle full of vampire royalty.

She didn't pay much attention to the conversations of those around her, instead, she was trying to ignore the strange boy's eyes as they burned a hole into the side of her head. She decided to ignore him and keep her head down, but that plan quickly failed as the coven leader who greeted the group asked for her hand. Olivia was not daft, she knew his intentions, and she saw it in his mind. She couldn't give him knowledge of the red room. Doing so would mean certain death. Instead, she raised the fiery barrier to protect her thoughts and memories. Aro quickly took her hand before she could protest. "Astounding, truly remarkable! I see nothing," said Aro. Olivia could see clearly through his faux curiosity, he was angered.

Olivia quickly grew bored of the "trial" and instead opted to let her eyes wander to the beautiful stranger who bore holes into her skull. Olivia threw him a deathly glare. Despite his irritating stare, she couldn't help but admire him. How couldn't see, he was a vampire after all, his sole purpose was to lure in victims and drain them of their blood. He wore a long-sleeved black shirt and trousers with a large pitch-black cloak hanging off his body. He wore a beautifully crafted crest bearing the insignia of his coven. Despite his put-together outfit, his hair was messy and tousled around in an effortlessly perfect way.

Olivia was quickly torn away from her thoughts as she heard her sister's shrieking voice. "NO, STOP, PLEASE" screamed Bella, "Olivia, do something please!" Bella continued to screech as she pulled at her scalp in distress. Olivia rolled her eyes but thought about how intervening could benefit her. While stuck between deciding whether or not to help, the situation progressed as Edward was suddenly thrown into a wall. She snickered but her demeanor quickly changed as one of the guards got their hands on Bella. Suddenly she felt protective, not of Bella, but of her father. Olivia knew her fate, no matter what she would be forced to leave her beloved father, Bella would be all she had left, and if she let her die now, her dad would be alone. Without thinking further, Olivia took a deep breath and imagined herself behind the giant mountainous man that Edward was fighting.
