Groundings and Blackmail?

Olivia teleported back to her bedroom in forks and promptly fell on the hardwood floor, too exhausted to move. She felt as though she could sleep for days. It was unsurprising to her considering the distance she had just teleported. It was safe to say that Olivia was beginning to regret not waiting for Bella to be done with her little trial. She would take the inevitable headache Bella would give her over the exhaustion.

Olivia lay on the floor of her bedroom for what must have been hours. She was beyond exhausted but the image of the handsome vampire refused to leave her mind. Every time she closed her eyes, she saw his stoic face, as if it was burned into her brain. She hated herself for thinking about him. She hated feeling.

She groaned as she heard the front door open, she knew she should have to give Charlie some explanation as to where she had gone. She could have easily manipulated him with her abilities but quickly ruled that out. She could never subject Charlie to that, she could never use them against him. Not to mention that she was fairly weak from using them back in Italy.

Olivia forced herself off the floor and made her way downstairs to face her father. She cringed when she saw him sitting on the table. His dark circles and frown made him look like he aged a couple of years from stress and grief. A sudden wave of guilt hit her when she saw him, maybe it wasn't such a good idea to leave forks so suddenly.

"Hey, Dad." Olivia cringed inwardly at her attempt to subtly inform her father she was back.

Charlie's head shot up in shock when he heard his youngest daughter's voice. "OLIVIA SWAN WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN!" demanded Charlie. Yeah, it definitely wasn't a good idea to leave with Bella.

Being grounded was strange to someone whose normal punishment was electrotherapy, but who was Olivia to complain? Having a curfew was much better than being subjected to literal torture. The same indifference could not be said for Bellas. The older girl seemed to be going crazy with her newly imposed rules. It seemed that being unable to see her bloodsucking boyfriend whenever she wanted to was posing an issue. It wasn't even as if she didn't sneak Edward in at times. She truly wondered how Charlie Swan, the town's chief of police, didn't realize that the eternally seventeen-year-old boy was watching his eldest daughter sleep. But Olivia supposed she couldn't exactly blame him, if she couldn't pick up his presence with her abilities she too would be clueless.

It had been about a week after the events that transpired and Bella had yet to speak a word to her younger sister. Olivia supposed it was a mixture of her fear and utter shock. And of course, she was right, Bella was terrified of her sister, and not just because of her apparent abilities. No, she believed that the Cullens could snuff her sister out if it came to it (even after she witnessed Olivia put the mountainous vampire on his ass), and Bella most defiantly had thoughts of disposing of her sister. No, she was more terrified of endangering her impending immortality, by somehow angering or hurting the apparent mate of one of the Volturi's elite guards. The thought of crossing paths with the ruling coven again made Bella's skin crawl. Bella truly thought about telling Charlie about her revelations about Olivia, but couldn't shake away the little voice in the back of her head telling her otherwise.

Olivia was most defiantly not oblivious to Bellas's thoughts of exposing her. She honestly found it laughable that Bella believed she had an ounce of power behind her knowledge. All it would take for Bella to tuck her tail between her legs would be telling Charlie of her nightly visitor. She did think about using this against her, but why would she waste such precious blackmail when she could just nudge her thoughts in the right direction? Oh, the thought of making Bella squirm brought a sadistic smile to her face.

It was sometime around two in the morning and Olivia was lying in her bedroom, attempting to think about anything other than whatever Bella and Edward were doing in the next room. Instead, she focused her attention on her now late Romeo and Juliet essay and the melody coming from her earbuds. It was a good hour after Edward arrived when she was disturbed. Distracted, she didn't hear Edward and Bella approach her door until they decided to knock on her door.
