Anya had pinned the gigantic vampire faster than he could yell Uncle. Blazing tendrils danced dangerously on her skin, focused around her hands where she held Felix down. His skin began to crack under the pressure of the concentrated energy. Anya's eyes darkened as he began to scream in pain as she pinned him to the floor with her powers. His screams were music to Anya's ears.

Aro's eyes widened in horror as the strange human girl had one of his highest-ranked guards pinned against the stone floors as if it were nothing. He took a chance to look into the girl's eyes only to see a beast behind her brown eyes. Her lack of remorse sent a shiver down his spine. He could tell that this girl had seen true horror just by looking intently into her eyes. He felt inexplicably sorrowful looking into her eyes, their emptiness reminded him so much of Alex and Jane as he saved them from burning on that stake all those centuries. Aro was forced out of his train of thought as Felix's ear-piercing screams continued to grow louder. Aro rolled his eyes at the guard member as he writhed in pain, desperately trying to escape the mortal girl. "ENOUGH"

Aro's voice was enough to snap Olivia out of her blood-thirsty trance. Her face remained neutral as she digested what she had done, but her eyes betrayed her void expression. She regretted her actions instantly as she heard her older sister open her mouth. "What the hell are you, you monster!"   sneered Bella, breaking the silence in the room full of awe-stricken vampires. Olivia would be lying if she said the words that came out of her older sister's mouth didn't sting, but she couldn't show weakness, it would be unbecoming of her.

"Wow, I just saved your pathetic excuse of a boyfriend, and that's the kind of thanks I get, typical self-absorbed Bella." tutted Olivia as she began to make her way out of the throne room.  Before she could walk through the door's threshold, the same boy who burned holes in the side of her head earlier blocked her way. Olivia simply glared at the handsome boy, before huffing in anger. She took a step away from the door and was gone before anyone could stop her.

The group was pulled from their confused trance as a low, raspy voice spoke up. "Aro." croaked the man who sat on the leftmost throne as he offered his pale hand to the mind-reading king. "Well, isn't this a wonderful turn of events?

"It seems out dear Alec has found his mate in young Bella's sister, isn't that just delightful." raved Aro, giddy with excitement. "Now, what to do with you, hmm. It seems as though it is not Edward's intention to turn you. That leaves us with no other choice but to kill you." Aro's sympathetic voice betrayed his increasingly irritated thoughts. He couldn't shake the venom-filled words the eldest swan barked out to her younger sister. She helped her sister's lover and saved his life, only to be thrown cruel insults.

Aro his mouth closer to Bella's exposed neck, he couldn't deny the insatiable scent of her blood, but he couldn't shake her disgusting actions towards her sister, it nearly destroyed his appetite as the image of the young swan's face replayed in his mind. He couldn't shake the fleeting moment of self-loathing that marred the girl's face.

"STOP, STOP, Bella will be one of us. I've seen it, I'll change her myself!" exclaimed Alice, interrupting Aro's train of thought. He immediately released the irritating human and greedily grasped the seer's hand. Images of Edward and Bella running in the woods at a supernatural pace filled his mind, a small ray of sunlight briefly shone on the girl's skin, causing it to sparkle, confirming her status as a future vampire. The vision suddenly shifted to show Olivia Swan smiling brightly at Alec, adoration shining in their eyes. The vision shifts suddenly to said girl convulsing on a medical bed as an older woman with clear malice on her face stares down at her. She spoke but, he couldn't make out her words, instead, his vision focused on the remote she held as she turned the dial up and pressed it again. This time, Olivia's pained screams echoed in his ears. Before he can think, he is pulled into a new scene. He looked around to see his surroundings, vast amounts of debris and shrapnel littering the field. Out of the corner of his eye, he sees the young swan on the ground. Above her stood another girl, gun in hand, grinning maniacally as she readied herself to pull the trigger.

Before he can see what happens next, the vision ends, and Alice pulls her hand out of the vampire king's own hand. Aro was confused, just who was Olivia Swan? He couldn't quite wrap his mind around what he saw. What would it mean for Alec? He worried for the vampire he thought of as his son, would his mate die, this uncertainty worried him. Above it all, he knew he would do anything to keep the Swan girl alive in order to save his son from a world of pain.

"Friends, it is clear to me that young Bella will become one of us, we will give you until the end of the year to turn. To ensure the transition is completed, Alec will accompany the Cullens until the human is turned." declared Aro. Cauis tried to oppose his brother but the look in Aro's eyes told him there was more to his decision, perhaps including the younger swan, he would entertain his decision for now.

Shortly after, Alec escorted the Cullens their pet out of the throne room into the lobby as they waited for the sun to set.
