As the rain pelted down harder overhead, Leonardo ran. She wasn't entirely sure why (or what) she was running from, but the deep ache in her bones told her she couldn't stop now.

The city flew by under foot in a blur of color and noise that was drowned out by the incessant thundering in her ears—her heartbeat.

Her lungs burned.

Where were the others? Raph, Donnie, Mikey? The last thing she could remember was—what?

They were home like usual watching tv during dinner, then . . . April? That sounded right. April and then—and then a fight. With who?

Leonardo winced as she felt her foot slip under her. She'd underestimated her jump distance in the dark earning herself a hard thwack as she landed face first on a fire escape a few feet down. She felt blood in her mouth and down her side as a wound she hadn't realized she'd had dripped down her leg.

As she shook off the rough landing, the wind carried up voices from below. She'd usually have ignored them if not for the fact that she recognized something.

Her name.

Feeling a sense of relief flood her tired heart, Leonardo steeled herself to jump down from the ledge, landing a bit unceremoniously behind the orange clad turtle.

"Mikey! Thank god I found you, I—"

Leonardo paused as the turtle (turtles) turned to face her.

Red.

Orange.

Purple.

Blue.

"You're not my brothers?"

Fuck it. At this point Leonardo was too tired to care.

She collapsed against the startled turtles with one final word.

"Help."
