CHAPTER 3

PRESENT DAY...

Sameer was pacing in his bedroom. 'Naina...', the only name that had stolen his heart and soul. And now, he was desperate to find her. After spending that beautiful night with her, she hadn't left his mind and heart at all. That night was imprinted in his soul and he wanted to relive it again with her, only her and that too forever... The moment his gaze had met hers, he had realized that she was the one for him...

Irrespective of his schedule, Sameer thought of her. Her thoughts hadn't left his mind even for a second. Even when he was working out in the gym or even while practicing with his teammates, he got flashes of their night together. It was getting impossible for him to keep his feelings to himself. He wanted to let it out, but he couldn't.

Sameer had tried everything to find her. He had never handled his own social media accounts. But just to find his Naina, he had scrolled through all the social media sites himself to get hold of her. But it was all in vain.

Sameer just had her name, 'Naina...' and thousands of profiles emerged on the screen. He was so foolish, he realized it now. He should've asked her for her full name that night. It would've been much better if he would've asked for her mobile number. But did she have a mobile, he wondered. He hadn't seen any in her hands. Maybe she must've kept it in her bag. But he hadn't seen her using it for the entire time they were together. No calls, no message notifications, nothing at all. Then he cursed himself some more. He was so busy in spending and enjoying that night with her, that he hadn't thought about all this. Well... he hadn't imagined that she would run the very next morning without meeting him.

Sameer was sure that Naina would be there the next morning and then, he would've dropped her home with a promise to meet again and date her. But nothing of that sort happened. He had woken up to an empty bed. He had searched the entire suite for her, but she had disappeared, leaving him alone, breaking his dreams of their togetherness.

But he was Sameer Maheshwari and he had a habit to get whatever he wanted. Then how could he give up on HER? He couldn't lose her. He had fallen in love with her at first sight and he would get her back in his life, he vowed to himself. If she had run away from him, then he would chase her till she agreed to be a part of his life forever. He was not going to give her a choice to run away this time.

Sameer's manager, Reyansh Mehra, saw him pacing the room and he wasn't sure what exactly his boss's problem was. He had seen him distracted since last few days, but hadn't questioned him. But now he had no option, he had to get this lad back in his game. Was this some girl issue? No... not possible... From when had Sameer started to date women, his manager thought doubtfully.

Reyansh was the one who planned the whole schedule of Sameer. From his workout to his practice matches, from his ad shoots to his each and every endorsement, he looked after everything. He had never seen the captain getting so hyper for any silly things. But since last few days, it seemed as if he was frustrated about something and he had to know the reason behind it, afterall he was his manager.

"Sameer... kya hua hai? Kuch dinon se dekh raha hun ki tum apni game par focus nahi kar paa rahe. Khoye khoye rehte ho, choti se choti baat par gussa ho jaate ho. This isn't you, Sameer. Tum pehle aise nahi the. Toh ab aisa kya hua hai ki tum itna badal rahe ho? What's the problem Sameer? You can tell me, maybe I can help you somehow."
