Yeonwoo's mother made him stay home for a few days - she wanted to be sure that he was okay before sending him back to school.
It was Friday morning - Yeonwoo's father had already left for school and his mother insisted on taking him to school, she still felt worried about her baby even though he said he felt better she still wasn't convinced that he just got sick suddenly.
As they were heading to school she couldn't help but let her mind run to her conversation with Seonghwa when Yeonwoo got sick - she remembered something about a fight with Taekyung and she just knew that was probably the reason behind Yeonwoo's reaction.
"Woo" she said in a warm loving tone - Yeonwoo looked at her with questioning eyes - his mother hardly called him Woo she would usually call him Yeon or Yeonie - so Yeonwoo couldn't help but be a little curious about what she wanted to say.
"Yeon-ah if you don't want to be friends with Taekyung anymore it's okay - you have Seonghwa and all the other council members who care a lot about you - Taekyung always upsets you so never feel obligated to keep being friends with him just because you've been friends since childhood... Seonghwa was really worried about you... " she said slowly, trailing off - stopping herself before she said too much.
Yeonwoo nodded a little, he really wanted to stop being friends with Taekyung but he couldn't just suddenly stop and even when keeping a distance from Taekyung it didn't work because Taekyung kept pushing him into a corner.
Once they stopped at the school Yeonwoo got out of the car and headed towards his classroom, he felt like taking a different route than usual and maybe it was just a coincidence or maybe fate put him on that path but he heard familiar voices argue and he could immediately place who the owner were without having to see them.
He hid himself behind the wall and listened a little.
"Taekyung you should really learn that you don't own Yeonwoo" Wooyoung said - it was clear the boy was about to lose it but he tried his best to keep calm.
There was a laugh "hah you think so? You don't get it do you, I own Yeonwoo, he is mine" it came from Taekyung and Yeonwoo didn't know why but he felt sick at that moment... Taekyung saw him as an object?
"Yeonwoo isn't an object or your plaything - he is a human being with actual feelings and emotions so you should change that attitude towards him" San argued back.
"Hmm your words mean nothing to me since Yeonwoo will never get rid of me" Yeonwoo could tell that Taekyung was smirking as he spoke.
"You might've gotten rid of all his other potential friends before but we aren't going to just leave him and let you walk all over him" Wooyoung said and Yeonwoo felt confused... What did he mean by that?
"It worked before and it will work again - I will always be all that Yeonwoo has and it will never change, I just need to spread a little rumor and everyone will run for the hills... like always"
Yeonwoo finally started putting things together and understood what he meant... he never had friends because Taekyung chased them all off so he could always rely on him?
Yeonwoo felt his eyes burning, he stepped out from behind the wall and San and Wooyoung's faces fell instantly, they knew he heard everything - his expression said it all.
"I'm an object to you? The reason I never had friends was all because of you? And yet you dare call yourself my friend? I fucking hate you Taekyung... never and I mean never show up in front of me again" Yeonwoo yelled before running away.
Taekyung went through many emotions but before San and Wooyoung ran after Yeonwoo they could see a smirk forming on Taekyung's face... it wasn't over and they knew it but at that moment Yeonwoo was more important.
They couldn't find Yeonwoo, they ran around most of the school and still couldn't find the boy - it eventually led to them contacting Seonghwa - it seemed that the boy knew more about Yeonwoo than them so maybe he knew where to find him - the moment they explained what happened Seonghwa hung up and they spotted him running towards the school garden with a worried look displayed on his face.
Although the two were worried they knew that Seonghwa could definitely comfort the boy in a way they couldn't so they headed to class excusing Yeonwoo for a bit and also realising that Taekyung hadn't shown up to class either - it made them feel a little happy because it meant that when Yeonwoo got to class at least he wouldn't have to face Taekyung again immediately.
Later into the day when they went to the council meeting they found Yeonwoo asleep on the couch, Seonghwa and Hongjoong were both busy with paperwork and the two felt curious and took a look at what exactly it was that they were doing that they were so focused that they didn't even hear the two of them arriving.
"Report?" Wooyoung read aloud finally snapping the two older boys out of their own little bubble.
"Great you two are here! Fill in this report against Taekyung" Hongjoong said with a big smile and handed the two each a sheet of paper that was identical to the one he and Seonghwa were filling in.
San and Wooyoung looked at them a little confused - they didn't mind reporting Taekyung but what exactly happened?
"When Seonghwa found Yeonwoo - Taekyung found him first, it seems that since they were friends Taekyung knows where to find Yeonwoo when he is upset - that being said he was busy making threats at Yeonwoo saying he would regret saying that he doesn't want to see him anymore - we already spoke to Yeonwoo's father but he can't do anything since although Yeonwoo is his son he still has to follow the procedures - so we are filling in reports to report Taekyung - the more reports against him the quicker action will be taken by the school board" Hongjoong explained.
San and Wooyoung were a little stunned but they immediately understood their friends and took the papers and started writing up their own reports - aside from Taekyung targeting just Yeonwoo he targeted them as well so they didn't even hesitate.
Once their reports were done, the council meeting was long forgotten, all they could think of were ways to cheer up Yeonwoo.
"I got an idea!" Yeosang said excitedly, "We can have a sleepover, Sani and Woo can help him catch up on his work and then we can all just hang out - like it's weekend anyway?" he said looking around the room and everyone agreed.
Seonghwa pulled out his phone after seeing everyone agree and he quickly dialed a number.
"Hi Mrs. Jin '' Seonghwa said happily - it caught everyone off guard since it was Yeonwoo's mother and they didn't know he was close to Yeonwoo's mother.
"Hmm I'm good - Yeonwoo had a fight with Taekyung today - I did let his dad know but I just wanted to tell you as well, he has been a bit down the whole day well he has actually been sleeping a good majority of it - we wanted to know would it be okay if Yeonwoo joined us for a sleepover today - San and Wooyoung are going to help him catch up with his school work and then we will just hang out together" Seonghwa explained to her.
It was a few minutes but Seonghwa was smiling so the boys knew the conversation was going well and eventually he hung up.
"Okay all clear - she said she would be thankful if we invited Yeonwoo since she is heading out of town for a party and his father has a seminar to attend so he would've been home alone the whole weekend" Seonghwa said with a smile and everyone cheered
When the school day finally came to an end, San and Wooyoung quickly took Yeonwoo with them making sure the boy wouldn't run away from the party.
"My mom said we can hang out at my place - she is going on a work trip," Hogjoong said with a big smile.
So they all started following Hongjoong they got on the bus - Yeonwoo was still a little out of it but the boys stayed close and tried to cheer him up the best they could telling him just how much fun they were going to have but they didn't realise that Yeonwoo kept glancing at Hongjoong and Seonghwa who were chatting about what they were going to have for dinner.
His chest felt uncomfortable around the two and although he knew he felt something for Seonghwa he never thought it would be serious enough to make him feel this heartbroken seeing Seonghwa with someone else.
He hated the feeling and he hated that he felt that way.
