1994 March 26 Corpus Christi, Texas

Selena pov

I heard the alarm clock going off. "4:30am". I got up every day at that time, well most of the time. I went into the closet to pick out what I wanted to wear today. "Hmm I'm just keep it simple today white t-shirt some Levi jeans and brown boots. I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth and do my hygiene. I turned on the shower to get nice and hot. I got undressed in got in the shower letting the water run down my skin.

25 minutes later

I wrapped my towel around myself and dried off. I sat on the bed and lotion up. I grabbed my panties and bra from the dresser. After finishing up doing the rest of my hygiene I sprayed a little bit of my Selena perfume. Which I have yet to release at Selena etc. And Selena etc is the name of my business. Which I had made Yolonda the manger for both the Corpus Christi, Texas location and San Antino, Texas location, as well the fan club which has been vastly growing in fans.

And that's where I'm headed this morning making sure everything still running smooth. I headed into the kitchen and pop a bagel in the toaster and fix me a quick fruit bowl. After finishing up my breakfast I locked up my house and went to the garage in got in my 1986 Porsche. I actually had bought a brand new one that was a gift for myself, but I just wanted a little more classic style, so I traded that in and got an older model. I backed out the driveway headed to my first boutique/salon in Corpus Christi.

I turned on the radio and Bidi Bidi Bom Bom was playing on the radio, so I turned the radio up. "There you go for you early birds, one of Selena Quintanilla songs off her brand-new album Amor Prohibido earlier this month. I can't wait to see what else the queen of tenjo got for her fans, I guess we go have to wait and see". Since I just dropped Amor Prohibido on March 13, which has definitely been quite popular since I dropped my other album Selena Y Los Dinos in 1984 when I was back with my dad band, Ven Conmigo in 1990, and Live Selena in 1993 which was me performing my songs live. But I really do want to reach the American side of music, to show I'm versatile. 

And I want my next album to show that. So come August I'm get in the studio and start recording and gone ahead and drop March of 95. But in the meantime, I want to keep growing Selena etc to spread my seeds into different things. I pulled into the lot of my boutique and got out the car. I grabbed my purse and went into the back of the building and straight into my office. After two hours or so I was done looking through inventory papers, mockup designs of Merch, samples of perfumes that I might release. Really my boutique/salon was a one stop shop. 

So, if the ladies or guys wanted to get their hair done, they could. Also, for the ladies if you wanted to get your nails done you could as well. As well as I got Selena merch and clothing for everybody else. I look over at the clock 7:10am. I got up and started to head out to my San Antonio, Texas location which is an hour or so minutes from the Corpus Christi location. I was heading out the door and Yolonda was coming in.

"Hey Selena, I didn't expect you to be at the boutique today". "Hey Yolonda, yeah I came in today just to make sure everything is still running smooth. Checked out a couple of samples of perfumes, as well some mockups for Selena merch clothing line. I'm heading down to San Antonio location to make sure everything okay down there as well, also I meant to ask is everything okay with the fan club"? 

"Yeah, Selena we actually got some new people that joined recently". "Well, that's good Yolonda I'm steady growing, and honestly thank you for helping me manage the boutique and fan club. So, I do appreciate that a lot". "Anytime Selena". "Alright Yolonda as I gave her a hug and let me know if anything happens just let me know". "Okay Selena".
