After an hour or two of sparring we both had an equal amount of wins. Todoroki and I were both exhausted so I figured it was time to go home. "Thank you for training with me. I have learned a lot about my techniques after this. Do you think we can do it again sometime?" I asked while picking up my things and taking a sip of water.
"You're welcome and sure." He replied, not looking me in the eye. "I'll walk you to the door." He said and I nodded in response.
We both started walking towards the door in awkward silence throughout the halls. He stopped at the doorway and waited for me to open the door. I grabbed the handle but turned around before I opened it. "Thank you again, bye Shoto." I turned back around and walked out the door as he said his goodbye.
After stepping outside the todoroki house I took a big sigh and started taking slow steps, not wanting to come home to my grumpy father, who was most def waiting for me at the door.
'I wish I could just take a day off of that hell hole.'
Walking on the sidewalk I felt an uneasy, bad feeling. I didn't feel like I was unsafe, I just felt like I was most definitely not alone. Like there were eyes watching me from afar. I shook it off as just a my imagination kinda thing, but there was something or someone hidden.
A few more streets went by and I finally saw mine. I sighed and started walking faster to get things done and over with so I could go to sleep. Stepping on each little crack as I made my way down the road and I was there. I opened up the door and as expected I saw my father. "It's late." He complained. I walked past him to my room.
"Then why aren't you asleep if it's so late father." He huffed at my response and made his way out of the living room to his bedroom.
I stepped into my open room and slammed the door behind me, flying into my bed. Just when I laid down I heard a small knock on my door. 'Ugh.' "Yes?" I muttered, not looking up as the door gently opened.
"I'm sorry honey." My mother. I sighed in relief glad that it wasn't my father and sat up. "About what? It's not your fault he's like this. It's just how he is" she walked over to my bed and plopped down next to me. "He wasn't like this before, he takes his emotions out on you because he can't get what he wants and for that, I'm sorry. It may not be because of me but you are still going through it." There was a long silence after her words but she continued.
"It may feel like he doesn't love you, but I know deep down he does. After the incidents with you and... and even after what happened to him, he's just been so... different" I looked to her with a frown and teary eyes.
I reached out to her and hugged her as tight as I could. "I love you, y/n. I hope you know that. I'll always support your dreams, not his dreams for you, okay?" She sighed and hugged me back.
"I-I love you too, mom. And I know it's hard for you too, so that's why I'm here." A tear slipped out of my eye as I looked back to times when we weren't like this. When their daughter wasn't a killer. When my father wasn't a self centered, idiotic man. Sometimes when I got to stuck in the present I would pretend I was that happy kid again. Hanging out with mei-mei at the park with my parents sitting at the bench near us. We were so... happy. Happy was something I hadn't felt very often. But when I'm around my mother I feel some sort of happiness and comfort.
"Please put your all into UA. I'm always here." She let go of her grip on me and stood up. "Goodnight, mom." I whispered wiping my face. "Goodnight, y/n. Get some rest you have such tomorrow." She walked out of my room and I plopped back down onto the bed, sighing.
'I promise I will put my all into this. I'll become a hero'

I walked out the door with my bag making my way to the road. I turned the corner I usually do when I bumped into someone. I blinked a few times and looked down. "Oh, l/n! Sorry I wasn't looking forward" the said someone rubbed her neck and backed up. "It's ok, Uraraka. I wasn't looking either." I continued walking towards the school. "Mind if I walk with you?" She shouted towards me after a few seconds of standing there. "I don't mind." After this I heard light footsteps approaching me.
