After a mysterious portal appeared out of nowhere in Popsta...
We start off with a shot of the destroyed city (Tokyo). Then we see many people ether sad or crying. Then we CUT TO an overview shot of the group of four sitting around rubble and a small fire. Then zoom in on the four.
M.K (to himself): Why is this place at war?

Episode 2: Band Together! Stop Chiang Kai-Shek!
He then looks at the dead body that the KMT shot a while ago.
M.K (to himself): Innocent lives… gone in seconds. No one to pick up the pieces, they just left them there to rot.
Magolor (to Meta): Who are you talking to?
Meta Knight stares at him blankly. Then looks away.
M.K: No one.
Magolor: Well it looked like-
M.K: I said no one.
Just then, Bandana Dee spots a map underneath some rock and dust (from an office building). He pulls it out. It's a map of the world (Earth, not Dreamland).
M.K: Let me see that.
Bandana Dee hands the laminated map to Meta Knight and proceeds to study it There's a sticker over Tokyo.
M.K: This looks nothing like Dreamland. Not even Popstar.
Unknown: Hey!
They all look around, looking for the source of the call.
Unknown: Hey! Over here!
The four look at an empty parking lot. It's filled with debris, so it's not really empty per say. They spot a slightly wounded Japanese soldier calling for them. They run toward them.
Japanese Soldier: You guys look like you're lost or something. Were you caught up in this war?
Bandana Dee: Well, uh, you see-
M.K: I think it's better if I explain it…
Meta Knight proceeds to explain their entire situation. How they got there by a mysterious fruit, them falling, them confronting the KMT soldiers, and getting shot and seriously wounded.
Japanese Soldier: Wow… crazy! Now I think it's my turn to explain what is going on here.
~Flashback~
"You see, Japan was at peace with many nations in the late 1800s. But then, the Americans came, they forced Japan to open up trade with them, Russia, any country, you name it. Then WWI came out of nowhere. At the end of it, we were treated like a defeated nation, although we did get to keep some territory. Like Taiwan.
"Japan then was sick in mind, many Japanese leaders wanted land, so they took Korea, many other Pacific Islands, and wanted to invade China. Their plans were foiled by many Chinese activists, the Americans, the KMT and the CCP (Chinese Communist Party).
