Laenerys and Cregan had slept in the same bed for a few days now and nothing intimate had happened again apart from Cregans hands sometimes straying from her waist but never in a bad way.
And the time had come for Laenerys and the Starks to return to Winterfell. Her new home were she would have to adjust to from now on.
After spending many days talking with Aris and the Stark twins Laenerys had convinced her self that it would not be bad. The four of them had all already become good friends and shared many laughs with one another.
All the preparations for her leave had all been made and Rhae had been saddled for her to ride to Winterfell with someone else.
She hadn't decided who yet she wanted to take Aris as the two of them were rather close but she knew that she was not fond of heights. She couldn't take the twins since they were so young. So their was only really one option.
Cregan. Which wasn't that bad it was just Laenerys thoughts were always plagued with him as of late. Plagued with the pleasure he had given her a few nights ago from such a little action.
After that night Laenerys had consolidated her sister to tell her of how she was so innocent and it was a bad idea as now she knew all about everything that Cregan was talking about. She didn't tell her sister about what Cregan had done though.
Everyone had presumed that the bruises were from where she had been in the crowds and nothing more and Laenerys was glad that no one's thoughts had wandered into other circumstances.
"Laenerys!" A voice called out to her as she stroked her dragon Rhae's red scales getting ready to ride her out to Winterfell.
The voice belonged to that of Ned Stark her new Father in law and he was a nice man. He had raised all his children well and was a far better Father to the twins then Viserys ever was to her and even now in only being apart of the Stark family for a week or so he had already become like a Father to her with his kind gestures and jokes.
"How are you this fine morning." He said towards the Targaryen girl.
"I am good how are you." She replied while smiling towards him.
"I am the same but I wanted to ask you something." He said while he moved to stand beside Laenerys who was at the side of Rhae who was now towering over the both of them.
"Fire away."
"Can you take my wife Elinor on dragon back with you to Winterfell?"
Laenerys was confused to why he had asked her to take his wife on dragon back as it was rather dangerous at times but of course she would.
"Of course may I ask why? I thought you would have asked me to take Cregan with me."
"Elinor had always told me of her dreams to ride a dragon oen day and go soaring through the sky to see how it feels." He said with a smile on his face.
So that was why. Ned Stark truly was a good husband. He put himself out to ask Laenerys if his wife could make one of her dreams come true.
Laenerys could see why it would be someone's dream as the dragons were elegant creatures and to ride one was even more of an excitement as the wind blew through your hair and you soared high above the ground it felt very liberating.
"Well then I shall saddle Rhae for two." Laenerys said while offering Ned a smile before he smiled back and then left the scene to go and find his wife.
After a couple of hosue everyone was ready to leave. Cregan had walked up to Laenerys before he left.
"Stay safe." Was the small string of words he had told her before he had to leave with the others.
While Elinor and Laenerys mounted Rhae helping one another climb up onto their saddles.
"Just hold tight when I say!" Laenerys yelled to Elinor who nodded as Rhaes wings started to outstretch and flap about instantly making them rise from the dragon pit.
Laenerys could see Rhaenrya and her family waving from below. To which she returned. She was going to miss her sister but she had grown to live with always missing her older sister.
"Goodbye." She whispered quietly as her dragon took of fully with a loud roar before they were now in mid air.
Freedom flowing through there blood as the breeze was soft against both the woman's faces. A beautiful sight to behold as the day was perfect with sun.
Elinor had reached out once or twice to touch a cloud which made Laenerys laugh. She had remembered when Rhaenyra took her out on dragon back when she was younger and her first ride was exactly like this.
