"Sometimes when things are falling
Apart, they may actually be falling
Into place"
-Moya Angelou

I sat in my car, waiting for her to arrive. She's an hour late and I know she over slept. I didn't wanna embarrasse her so I decided to sit back in my car till she gets here.

A few minutes passed by and then a cab parked infront of the building and my little dove rushed out, practically running inside which made me chuckle. My cute little dove.

After waiting for more 15 minutes I got out of my car and walked inside. The chatter died down as I enter. Everyone was looking at me with shock since it'll be the first time I have ever been late.

Ignoring it I walked towards the elevator and got in, and the moment it started moving I remembered how Delilah acted while being in here with me.

She looked scared and on the verge of having a panic attack, even her breathing were uneven. Is she scared of elevators?

When the elevator dinged on my floor I got out and walked straight ahead and peaked into Delilah's office, but it was empty so I was certain she's in mine.

Fighting the butterflies in my stupid stomach I twist the doorknob and push open the door, and there she stood, clearly out of breath, hair messy, still in her coat.

"Good morning, Ms Miller" I greeted her as soon as I walk in and her eyes snap to me, for a couple seconds she seemed lost in her thoughts, eyes lingering on my chest and neck and I knew my little dove was checking me out.

When her eyes travelled back to my face she realised that she had been caught red handed and her face became a deep shade of red before she ripped her eyes off me.

"G-Good morning, sir" she stuttered and I dart my tongue on my bottom lip trying to fight a smile.

"Morning, Ms Miller" I replied and took my coat of resting it at the back of my chair before taking a seat.

She stood there with her hands interlocked infront. The exhaustion was clear in her eyes and I felt like a dick for being the reason behind it.

"Take a seat" I gestured her to take a seat and she did.

Picking up the file infront of me I went through it and I was impressed with her dedication.

Resting the file on my desk I leaned back in my chair and her eyes were watching me expectantly.

"Well done. I'm impressed Ms Miller, I think you have what it takes to work for me" I say keeping my eyes on her and her entire face lit up, her eyes were shining and her smile...God her smile, for a second I thought my heart stopped beating when I saw that smile stretching on her lips.
