"She's waking up" I heard a small squeak,
"Wh- what" I groaned rubbing my head. I felt a tight lace around my neck and the aching pain from my injuries were gone. I tried to focus on the floors, walls, anything but the concentration made me feel sick.
"Give her space" I could feel the room shake a bit as those inside began shuffling around supposedly backing up from me.
Once my eyes stopped spinning I began to scan the room, Tsireya, Aonung, Roxto..
I sighed heavily, noticing there were three more jungle na'vi and the annoying one from before.
Tsireya lunged forward embracing me into a tight hug,
"You idiot what were you doing out so late, you're lucky it was only a scratch!"
I winced from the pain as I slowly patted her on the back. I guess forest boy didn't tell her the full story.
"Hey be careful '' one of the strangers remarked, tugging on Tsireya. She skipped back before kneeling down, fiddling with the embroidered floors.
"What are they doing here?" I scowled, baring my teeth at the outsiders.
"She saved your life."
I turned around and saw the forest Na'vi from earlier speak. His distinct accent and heavy braids were unforgettable. Rolling my eyes I reached onto a shelf and stood up. Everyone watched me as I stumbled awkwardly trying to balance myself.
"You should rest, you lost a lot of blood just now" the girl spoke to me.
"I don't, uurgh, I don't need your help"
I took a few steps before collapsing back onto the floor.
I watched everyone make a "ouch" face as I scrambled in embarrassment.
"Lo'ak fetch some water everyone else move out" the girl said ushering them out the door.
Tsireya scooted closer to me,
"What happened to you, I thought you knew better than to swim in dangerous areas especially at night?"
I swallowed hard as all eyes fell on me, somehow I felt obligated to not have the forest boy in trouble, after all he was just trying to practice, it was kind of cute.
"I needed to clear my head but I got knocked over by a strong current, I guess I was lucky he was here to save me" I glanced over at the older boy as he mouthed 'thank you'.
"Out everyone" The girl shouted again as she also left the hut with them.
"I'm really sorry again," The boy said.
I leaned my head back against the floor curling my tail around my legs,
"You're not that good at listening are you?" I brushed the bits of debris out of my hair.
"Shoo."
"I'll leave, yes, but will you be okay?" He anxiously replied,
I practically saw red at this point, why wouldn't this fool just leave me alone??
"Are all of you Jungle freaks this annoying?!"
I snarled, hastily turning to face him. The wrap around my neck caught onto the flooring and stretched out of shape.
Instinctively the boy dropped down by me reached out to fix it but hesitated when we made eye contact.
"Please, let me help" he begged.
I sat in silence, biting the inside of my cheek as he tucked it back into place, making sure not to tug on it too hard.
"My names Neteyam," he said, trying to break the silence. As much as I wanted to respond with a "I didn't ask" I found myself calmly responding,
"Seytira."
"Seytira, that's nice" he got up slowly and made his way to the door. We shared a quick glance before he left me alone, finally;
"mhhhhgg" I groaned, splaying my arms out, the cuts on my body seemed to have healed but I knew the gash on my neck would take time.
