XVIII. Keep calm, wield a sword

Alia's POV

So it has been a while, you know, since we started from Hastinapur. I've been thinking, it had been the weirdest few days of my life. I got married, went to my husband's kingdom, went to visit his friend , learnt that he had siblings and cousins and that he was actually a prince (well kinda) , got a kingdom (a piece of land? I don't think its habitable) to rule. Yeah , life is weird.

I'm......tired and.....bored.

Arya has been telling me a bit of his childhood. It was interesting. But it has been quiet for a while now, i don't know why but yea. It is a comfortable silence though.

"We'll be reaching very shortly , my love" He said as he smiled at me.

"Oh" I said .

Dumb response but my brain isn't really working right now.

I've been thinking about Drau. She seems.....out of character and it might have something to do with me but...what did I do? I would never say anything to hurt her or take away her confidence. I lover her wayy too much to even think of doing that. But then, what happened? Did someone telk her somthing about me? But then , she asked if I was ok, so I think I did something...but what?

" Priye, we are here" Arya said.

" That's great Arya." I said.

What is wrong with me? I don't feel normal, I feel like I am all out of energy.

He helped me down. I went to find Drau to prep for the pooja.

Something about this place is off. I know that this place is infested by snakes. I just hope , the public doesn't get harmed. They trust us alot.

" Lili, are you ok?" Drau asked.

" Hmm, no. We need to talk but let us do that once we settle down." I said and smiled at her.

" True true." Yeap , something is definitely wrong with us.

We prepared everything and went to join our husbands and their brothers at the front.

What was that? I definitely saw a moment in the forest.

" Bhabhishree what is wrong? Why did you stop?" Bhrata Suyo asked.

" Something is there, in the forest." I said.

" We will take care of whatever danger comes our way Priye, don't worry about that. Carry on with the Pooja." Arya said.

I tried to continue but then there were more moments. What is this?

Anyways , let me carry on.

I raised my hands to start the prayer.

" O-"

Something whizzed past my hand.

WHAT ON EARTH! A SNAKE. A FLYING ONE. OH GOD! I HAVEN'T BEEN ON THIS EARTH THAT LONG! WHY DO I HAVE TO SEE THIS?

" All of you go get your weapons! Priye, Rajkumari, get the public to calm down and stay safe! Make sure you both are armed. All of you , NOW" Arya said.

I took one of the swords in the chariot, so did Drau. Keep calm , wield a sword. I'm not so sure about the 'calm' part, but I will try my best.

We tried to get the people to get shelter behind the chariots before the attack worsened.

Is this hard? YES, THEY ARE ALL PANICKING AND I DON'T BLAME THEM.
