Tubbo Underscore stood nervously in line outside the castle gates, trying to calm his racing thoughts. He had always dreamed of becoming a minstrel, and when he heard about the opportunity to audition for the royal court, he couldn't pass it up. But now, as he looked around at the thousands of other hopefuls vying for the same position, he began to doubt his chances.

"Tubbo Underscore, from the village of Bere." A guard declared loudly, drawing Tubbo's attention back to the present. He stepped forward and was given a firm nod by King Technoblade, who was seated on a throne at the head of the room.

King Technoblade was a tall, muscular pig hybrid with light pink hair and blood red eyes. He had a commanding presence, and it was clear that he was used to being in control.

"Hello, little musician," King Technoblade said with a smile, before pausing and tilting his head slightly. "I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name."

"It's Tubbo, your majesty," Tubbo replied, feeling his nerves start to ease a bit.

"Well, Tubbo," King Technoblade continued. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm King Technoblade, and this is my son, Prince Ranboo."

Tubbo bowed deeply, taking in the sight of the royal family. Prince Ranboo was a tall, slender enderman hybrid with black hair on the left and white hair on the right, and his eyes were a striking combination of green on the left and red on the right. He looked as if he was barely tolerating the proceedings, while King Technoblade seemed genuinely interested in the auditions.

"Hello, your majesty, your highness," Tubbo said, straightening up. "I'm honored to be here."

"And we are honored to have you," King Technoblade replied, gesturing for Tubbo to begin playing. Tubbo stepped forward and began to play his lute, putting all of his focus into his music.

As he played, Tubbo couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. He had always dreamed of becoming a musician, and now he was performing for the royal family.

When he finished, there was a brief moment of silence before King Technoblade spoke.

"That was lovely, Tubbo," he said, a genuine smile on his face. "I can see why you were chosen to audition for the royal court. Your music is truly a joy to listen to."

"Thank you, your majesty," Tubbo replied, feeling a warmth spread through his chest.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it," he continued. "But before we make a final decision, we'd like to hear a few more of your songs. Can you play something else for us?"

"Of course, your majesty," Tubbo said, bowing deeply. He spent the next hour performing for King Technoblade and Prince Ranboo, playing all of his favorite songs and trying his best to impress them.

When he was finished, King Technoblade and Prince Ranboo both seemed pleased with his performance.

"Well done, Tubbo," King Technoblade said, clapping his hands together. "You have a true talent for music, and I think you would be a valuable addition to the royal court."

"Thank you, your majesty," Tubbo said, feeling a sense of relief wash over him.

"We'll be in touch with our decision soon," King Technoblade continued. "But for now, you are free to go."

Tubbo couldn't believe his ears. He had done it - he had impressed the royal family and been chosen to join the royal court. He was overjoyed and thanked King Technoblade and Prince Ranboo profusely before making his way back to his room in the castle.

As he walked through the corridors, Tubbo couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and pride. He had always dreamed of this moment, and now it was finally here.

But as the days went on, Tubbo began to realize the true cost of his new position. He was constantly surrounded by courtiers and nobles, all vying for the favor of King Technoblade and Prince Ranboo. And as he watched the ruthless political maneuvering and scheming that went on around him, he realized that he had made a grave mistake.

Despite his misgivings, Tubbo found himself unable to leave the royal court. He was trapped, a permanent member of the royal court whether he liked it or not. And as he struggled to navigate the treacherous waters of court life, he couldn't help but wonder if he was doomed from the very beginning.

But as the weeks turned into months and the months turned into years, Tubbo found that he had grown accustomed to life in the castle. He had made friends among the other musicians and courtiers, and he had even come to enjoy performing for King Technoblade and Prince Ranboo.

One sunny afternoon, King Technoblade and Prince Ranboo invited Tubbo to join them on a picnic in the castle gardens. Tubbo was hesitant at first, knowing that he was expected to be at the beck and call of the royal family at all times. But he couldn't resist the chance to spend some time outside, and so he agreed.

As they sat on the grass, enjoying the warm sunshine and the delicious food, Tubbo couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over him. He had grown to love the peaceful moments he spent with King Technoblade and Prince Ranboo, and he was grateful for the opportunity to get to know them better.

But as the afternoon wore on, Tubbo started to feel a bit restless. He longed to explore the gardens and see more of the castle grounds, and he tentatively asked if he could take a short break.

"Oh, I don't think that would be a good idea," King Technoblade said with a smile. "We need you here to entertain us."

"Yeah, I don't think it's safe for you to go out by yourself," Prince Ranboo added. "There are all sorts of dangers lurking in the castle grounds."

Tubbo hesitated, unsure of what to do. He wanted to argue, but he didn't want to risk offending the royal family. So he simply nodded and continued to play his lute, ignoring the nagging feeling in the back of his mind that something wasn't quite right.

As the years went by, Tubbo found himself growing more and more isolated from the outside world. He was always surrounded by the walls of the castle, and he barely had a chance to see the sun or the sky. He was trapped in a gilded cage, and he began to wonder if he would ever be able to escape.

But despite his feelings of frustration and longing, Tubbo never let his true feelings show. He continued to play his lute and sing for King Technoblade and Prince Ranboo, never letting on that he was anything other than grateful and happy to be a part of the royal court.

Over time, King Technoblade and Prince Ranboo seemed to grow more and more possessive and obsessive with Tubbo, treating him like a member of their family rather than an employee. They were always demanding his attention, and they seemed to resent it when he spent time with anyone else.

Tubbo knew that he should leave, that he should break free from the suffocating grip of the royal court and start a new life. But he found himself unable to do so, afraid of what would happen if he tried.

And so he remained, a permanent member of the royal court, always at the beck and call of King Technoblade and Prince Ranboo. He knew that he had made a mistake, but it seemed that it was far too late to turn back now.
