"Mama you look fine." Elias tried to reason with Carina and she shook her head "Maybe I should go with the pink top." She walked out again to change and Elias groaned.
They were going to Elias's little brothers birthday party and Carina couldn't make up her mind yet on what she wanted to wear.
"You finna be driving yourself inna minute Jade!" Elias yelled so she could hear him and she groaned before changing into the pink top with some blue jeans and some sandals since she didn't feel like hurting her feet in one's.
"Okay I'm ready now." She said grabbing her purse and putting her jewelry on, spraying a little perfume in pressure points.
"Grab this." He handed her the three big bags of gifts he and she got for and his little brother.
Turns out Carina was actually a month pregnant which meant the 1,2, or 3rd time they had sex she got pregnant accidentally. The doctors didn't understand how she had gotten pregnant since she did take a plan b but she must have taken it to late.
"Alright you ready?" He asked opening her car door and she nodded. She had met Elias's mother before but it was very briefly all they got was a little wave and Elias had drove off.
"Yeahhhh." Carina nodded now in a little giddy mood. She made sure she could breath in her pants now that she had a little pudge and didn't want to wear any high wasted pants cause she felt like she would "suffocate" the baby.
Elias told her that's not how it worked but she didn't care about none of that.
"Gimme kiss." Elias said and she looked up from her phone giving him a kiss before he looked back at the road and continued driving.
He loved kissing her for some reason, he didn't know why it was just some automatic shit for him.
They drove in comfortable silence while the music was playing in the background. Carina was texting her dad excited because he said he was gonna find time to come down there for a week.
Carina and her father had gotten so much closer, they talked almost everyday now and if Carina didn't run to Elias about a problem she ran to her dad about a problem and Elias loved that she had a supportive parent now.
It made him feel better knowing if he wasn't there someone was.
"So how you gone tell your mom I'm pregnant?"
"Truth be told she prolly already know bug," Elias shrugged turning a corner "She would always ask about you and she said she had a dream about somebody being pregnant." He told her making her smile.
Carina still couldn't believe she was pregnant, and to be honest she loved that she was. Carina always wanted to be a parent, even though it was a little early for her liking she still was none the less happy that she was.
"Well that's nice, I wish I had dreams.." She said looking off to the side "You don't be dreaming?" Elias asked her because he honestly had pretty vivid dreams and would tell Carina about them sometimes.
"No, and if I do I probably don't remember them." She shrugged her shoulders and Elias hit a bump "This raggedy ass street, my tires bet not be tore up either." He mumbled making Carina laugh.
