Chapter 12: it was good while it lasted

"I'm sorry Chaeyoung" those were the only words that came out of my mouth. We stayed in each other arms crying.

One month after the exams~~

Third person's pov

Chaeyoung and Y/n spend all the month together even if Y/n had studies for some weeks, Y/n just wanted to spend more time with her girlfriend before leaving and making those days special to Chaeyoung. The couple became inseparable.

There were sitting together eating breakfast when Y/n's phone rang. It was her professor telling her the news. Y/n passed with 98% in her exams which was the highest in their college and she will leave really soon with their team. She was shocked since she knew she didn't study so hard. She was both happy and joyless because her dream finally became true but what about Chaeyoung, leaving her behind made her feel some kind of guilt especially now that they were closer than ever. Y/n cried as she left her phone on the table

"It's gonna be okay Y/n, we will try our best!! Don't blame yourself for that" Chaeyoung petted Y/n's back to show her that she understands.

"But it's not gonna be the same. I won't be able to see you for a long Chaeyoung..." Y/n claimed and Chaeyoung nodded

"We won't let the distance separate us pabo" Chaeyoung said and rubbed Y/n's thigh.

"I love you"

"I love you too" They said kissing each other softly.

the day of  Y/n's departure (two weeks later)~~

The arrived at the airport and the girls were already there waiting for them. Y/n's professor was also there but no one from her team. Sana wasn't letting Y/n go of her until Jihyo approached them. The three of them hugged each other tightly and it felt like home, it felt like how they used to hug every day in school and all of them admitted that they miss it. Then the other girls followed for a big hug.

"Don't forget about us, okay?" Jihyo said as Y/n giggled.

"I won't don't worry" Y/n replied and kissed Jihyo's forehead, Sana wanted a kiss too and Y/n gave her one as the girl started jumping up and down.

"Y/n~" A girl voiced from behind catching her attention. The moment Y/n's eyes landed on the girl that was calling her she raised her eyebrows and her jaw dropped. Lia was coming with her and not only that she will be her roommate. Y/n turned to look at Chaeyoung's who was totally fine with that, she felt some kind of relief when she saw her girlfriend was not minding Lia being her roommate.

"You see you will have your friend there!! I bet you will be fine" Chaeyoung was hurting inside but she didn't want to show it she preferred to put a mask on her face and pretend that she was fine when she was broken. Y/n was someone special to her ever since she met her, she didn't care that back then they didn't have any type of interaction but now, they are together.

"Yeah...we have to go now the gate opened" Y/n said. She was kneeling waiting for her girlfriend to come up to her hug, the girl rushed jumping on Y/n's arms that were ready to caught her.

"I'll miss you..." She uttered.

"I love you so much Y/n" She continued. Y/n gulped feeling her heart really heavy.

"I love you too Chaeyoung" and with that Y/n gave her one last kiss before leaving. Y/n cried while she was walking towards the gate.

"WAIT!" She yelled and Y/n turned around to see Chaeyoung coming back to her, Chaeyoung kissed her again and gave her her medication.

"Don't forget to take them when you're anxious okay?" Chaeyoung said and Y/n nodded as she wiped Y/n's tears. She continue walking waving to Chaeyoung and the girls who were watching from behind.
