You slowly opened your eyes, it was 8:00 am, the sweet scent of freshly baked brownies tickling your nose. You sat up in bed, rubbing your eyes as you tried to shake off the last remnants of sleep. For a moment, you thought that the delicious aroma was coming because Lia decided to bake something for you and Chaeyoung.

But then you heard a soft humming coming from the kitchen, and you realized that Lia was in work. That meant only one person could be responsible for the brownies. Chaeyoung.

You grinned, feeling your heart fill with warmth at the thought of Chaeyoung baking for you. You got out of bed and made your way to the kitchen, following the intoxicating scent of chocolate and sugar. As you entered the room, you found Chaeyoung wearing an apron, a mischievous smile on her face.

"Good morning, beautiful," Chaeyoung said, turning around to face you.

"Did I wake you up with the smell of my baking?" you chuckled and walked over to your girlfriend, wrapping your arms around Chaeyoung's waist.

"No, I was already awake. But the smell definitely got me out of bed faster."

Chaeyoung leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to your lips. "I hope you like brownies. I've been practicing the recipe for weeks." Your eyes widened in surprise.

"You've been keeping a baking secret from me?" Chaeyoung shrugged.

"I wanted to surprise you. And now that you're awake, we can enjoy them together."

You felt a surge of affection for Chaeyoung. You loved how thoughtful and caring your girlfriend was, always finding little ways to make you smile. You and Chaeyoung sat down at the breakfast table, ready to start their day.

"So, how was the concert last week?" You asked. Chaeyoung let out a small sigh.

"It was exhausting, but amazing. I can't believe how many fans showed up. It's crazy to think that so many people love our music." You smiled, happy to see how passionate Chaeyoung was about her music.

"I'm so proud of you, Chaeyoung. You work so hard and it really shows."
Chaeyoung beamed at the compliment.

"Thanks, babe. It means a lot to me."
You took a sip of your coffee before continuing the conversation.

"How many concerts do you have left on this tour?" Chaeyoung counted on her fingers.

"I think there are still five more shows left. It's going to be a busy week, but I'm looking forward to it. I mean we came back in LA because the tickets of the two dates that we planned to do the concerts sold out immediately and we tried to add few more." You nodded, understanding the hard work that went into touring.

"I can imagine. But at least you get to meet your fans and see all the different cities." Chaeyoung grinned.

"Yeah, that's definitely the best part. I love getting to connect with our fans and hear their stories." You smiled back.

"I'm so happy for you, Chaeyoung. You deserve all the success and happiness in the world." Chaeyoung leaned over to give you a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Thanks, babe. You're the best. So what about you? How is your job going? We've talked almost every day, but you never really mentioned what is happening in your job." You let out a small sigh.

"I know, I've been so caught up in my work that I haven't really talked about it much. But I've been dealing with some pretty heavy cases lately, and it's been weighing on me." Chaeyoung looked even more concerned.

"What kind of cases? Are you okay?"
You took a deep breath before explaining.

"I've been working on a few homicide cases, and they've been really difficult. It's hard to see the pain and suffering that these families are going through." Chaeyoung nodded in understanding.
