Enid Sinclair POV

If I was being truthful, I was not looking forward to Parents' weekend. We had the whole week without class work, but we were still required to stay on campus.
I planned on taking Wednesday shopping, but she did not seem to enthused about it.
All I want is Wednesday to be happy, but even now I am still not sure where her key to happiness is.
Shopping always gets my mind off bad and irritating times, so I begged and begged Wednesday to go shopping with me. Just in time for Valentines day.
"So, you buy gifts for your lover?" Wednesday asked as we walked through the town of Jericho.
"Kind of! You buy meaningful things for the people or person you love!" I explained, examining the hat section.
*Wednesday quickly grabbed something and put it behind her back.*
"Wednesday, what is that?" I asked, gesturing behind her.
"Nothing," she muttered with a slight bit of color coming to her face.
Okay. I have to admit, that was a little weird.
We quickly bought our things, and she told me to wait outside. Moments later, she was walking towards me, a shopping bag visible in her grasp.
We continued walking, but then she surprised me by saying:
"Should I get something for Xavier?"
"Well," I explained. "That depends. Do you love Xavier?" I waited patiently on the outside, but on the inside I was screaming over and over again:
No! No! NO! YOU DON'T LOVE HIM, WEDNESDAY, YOU DON'T.
Envy overtook me. I was not usually the jealous type, but now the ugly, green monster was overcoming me. Wednesday should love me and me only, most certainly not XAVIER!
"Y-Yes, I think I love him. I-i love him more than anything else in the world."
If you heard that noise, that was my heart shattering into a thousand, tiny pieces.
