Narae woke up as usual, sharp at 6am. She went to take a hot morning shower first. After that, Narae would put on a dress, a cardigan to bring along and wine red mary jane. She proceeded to put on some makeup since she loves makeup, she wants to look cute for herself. Narae grabbed the keys for her store with her, and swung the sling bag over her shoulder. On her way out, she grabbed her empty tote bag that will be used to carry food later.
With all that done, she locked the door of her house and went on the route to her shop.
She doesn't cook for herself in the morning, instead, she would stop at a convenience store on the way. She would get a carton of goodday's chocolate milk, strawberry and banana. She will then go to pick two lunchboxes, which she would usually get the omurice, and also a salted chicken popcorn rice. Sometimes she would switch it up by getting three, a spicy thai chicken rice instead of omurice but it depends on what is available.
She'll pick up 3 ebiko onigiri with nothing else in it, just ebiko. And then 3 cups of pudding and waffle ice cream. She eats a lot for breakfast to hang on until lunch, for her, the gap is too long. Especially if the flower shop is having a slow day.
After getting all that she needed, she goes to the counter, get the lunchboxes reheated and stuff her food that had been rung into her tote bag. It's huge, don't be fooled by the name tote bag. Before making the pay, she will grab a few chocolates from the shelf and put it onto the counter.
Only then she will pay using her card and wishes the cashier a good day before walking out of the store. By this time, she would pull out her pink earphones to listen to a song on her phone. She's just chilling with herself, starting her day as per usual. It gives her peace to be working like this. Oh but wait, other than opening a flower shop, she has another store online that she opened way before she opened the shop. This online store sells her artworks. Not as in painting, but clothes that she sew herself. She also sells crocheted items, some like cardigan and plushies. She doesn't do commission but usually open them for when a friend needs a favor. That's how she's rich and is thriving with a flower shop. She used to struggle before but with two of the stores she owned. She's now living the life she wanted at the age of 29. Wait actually, she's turning 30 this year.
Which then reminded her, she has a high school reunion on a Saturday the next 2 weeks. "Oh fuc-", she stopped herself from speaking further. She checked her phone and the horror to see her name being added into a new group chat with her classmates. "Why can't they just use the old group chat, isn't that still active??", she scrolled down the chat with multiple texts coming in. It scares her, and this is the first reunion they've ever had after graduating. It has been exactly 12 years. They wanted to do a reunion after 10 years passed which would make them 28 years old but the ex- assistant class monitor was scammed so they had to wait for 2 years.
Now they're discussing about the reunion. The venue has been set but other than that, not much.
Someone then tagged her in the chat.
