Wendy's shoulder length hair bounced as she sprinted to the gate a few feet in fount of her. Her warm hand grasped the cool metal bar Her fingers perfectly pressing in the code into the key pad. "I can't wait to get new cloths!" Wendy mentioned excitedly. Her clothing being extremely muddy and messy. The door unlocked swinging open. Wendy walked thought holding the door for Ellie and Joel.
"M'lady" Wendy curtsied as Ellie walked through. Ellie rolled her eyes give her a punch to her arm.
Wendy pushed Ellie's shoulder with her own as they walked behind Joel.
Wendy bumped into her dad. Looking at her dad she read his face. His face wrote a story with his facial expression. His eyebrows tied tight. Wendy's eyes followed his line of vision. They fell on beautiful white gate swings in the wind. Wendy's breath caught in her throat as she saw franks flowers wilting. Wendy's legs took her to the gate.
The delicate flowers all crunchy and dry.

Joel's hand wrapped around the doorknob pressing down lightly against it. The door swinging open. Wendy's feet hit the wooded floor as her nose scrunched in disgust as she smelt a overwhelming sent. "What the fuck?" Ellie whispered.
"Bill! Frank?" Joel called out as Wendy walked around the front porch. "Maybe they moved house. One with less steps?" Wendy stayed hopeful.
"Stay there. You hear anything see anything yell." Joel pointed his finger at Ellie. "You too." Joel faced his daughter.

"What if there gone?" Ellie asked. Wendy's feet carried her fastly to Ellie. Her body working faster than her mind. Wendy's body inches away from Ellie's. Wendy's face tilted down a little to make it easier to look Ellie in her eyes. "Their not! I was here 2 months ago and they were fine!" Wendy screamed at her. Ellie swallowed as she looked up at the taller girl. Overwhelmed by her raised voice. The girl never showing the anger towards anyone. It was a stupid fucking question of course they were here Wendy thought to herself. Joel pulled Wendy back by her arm. Before disappearing somewhere else in the house.

Wendys eyes looked around the room and table. On the fancy china laid molded food. Wendy's hand went to pull at a tiny bag that laid near a plate. Opening the tiny bag wendy looked inside. Seeing all but a tiny amount of powder. "Wendy." Ellies voice pulled her attention. Walking over Wendy placed a hand on Ellis shoulder. She sat in the fancy chair. Ellie held a letter reading it. In other hand she held one with Wendy's name in franks handwriting.

"Ellie?" Wendy's dad walked in looking at the girls sharing a chair. " it's from bill." Ellie's hand reached grabbing the letter from the table. "To whoever or probably Joel. I figured we fell under whoever. It came with this." Ellie's hand pushed the key towards Joel. Dropping his bag Joel garbed the key.
"So their dead." Joel asked fiddling with the key. Wendy's glossy eyes looked at him. Her eyes saying everything her words couldn't. Joel turned around walking a bit. One of Ellie's hands rubbing softly against Wendy's knee. "You wanna Umm-."
"You go head you do it." Joel looked at Ellies hand that rested on his daughter's knee.
