Wendys eyes shot open from her dream. Squinting as the sun was shining straight into her eyes. "I think I'm seeing the light." Wendy rubbed her eyes. Realizing she was alone she moved her legs siting in a upright position. Stretching her legs.  She reached for the door handle opening it and walking out of the empty car.  Wendy spilt her hair that ended up in her mouth from the wind. Walking cluelessly through the abandoned  street leading up to a gas station. Seeing her dad hunched over a car. Ellie standing near. Wendy watched her dad blow air into one tube creating a siphon. "Nice, how dose that work." Ellie watched Joel the gas feeling filled quickly. "Its a siphon. It's when liquid... travels against... gravity...because pressure." Him constantly stoping trying to find the answer to the question. "You don't know." Ellie grinned nodding her head.. "I know it works."

"Gravity pushing down causing the water to move up because it doesn't have any where else to go." Wendy jumped up on the car that was getting emptied. Wrapping her arms around her legs resting her chin in her knees. "I think at least."

"Holy fucking shit! we have to get her a bell or something." Ellie held her hand to her chest. . Wendy seemed to sneak up on them without noticing. "Ha." Wendy had a unpleased look written on her face. Ellie turned her foot taking a step in the opposite direction. "No wandering." Ellie turned an annoyed expression on her face. Looking down Watching the gas fill.

"Okay. This is your fault then." Ellie swung her bag down on a car opening up the bag and pulled out a book. Wendy's smile grew as she recognized the book. "holy shit wait!" Wendy stood and ran off the car. Sprinting to the car grabbing her bag. Emptying her bag on the floor of the car getting a hold of her book. Running back to Ellie. "No pun intended volume too." Ellie exaggerated the o. "You get it? too. Like t-o-o." Ellie laughed.

Wendy held a book out in front of Ellie. "no pun intended volume three!" Ellie screamed. "Yes these jokes seem to be getting punier! Volume three no pun intended." Ellie eyes widened looking at the book that was falling apart. "Jesus help me now." Joel mumbled as the two girls held their books.

"What did the mermaid wear to her math class." Ellie leaned into the joke quit literally as she was facing joel. "A algae-bra." Ellie laughed historically as Wendy flipped through her book. "Like."Ellie stoped catching her breath. "Algae-bra." Ellie laughed as Wendy started. "Why did the belt get arrested? Because her held up a pair of pants." Wendy not able to finish her sentence as laughter over took her. "I stayed up all night wondering where the sun went." Ellie laughed. "No." Joel said looking unpleased. "Then it dawned on me." Wendy cackled over Ellie joke. "Feel free to wait in the truck." Joel told Ellie. Wendy was Looking through her book till she found the perfect one. Wendy cackled finding the right joke. "Wh-." Wendy wheezed. "What dose the the storm cloud wear under his coat?" She asked. Breaking into laughter. "Thunderwear." Wendy laughed out each syllable. Ellie bursted into laughter. The two girls laughing bumping into each other as they swayed. Wendy crouched on the floor as she laughed. The hidden smile on Joel's face unnoticed by the two girls.
