Chapter 8
I ask Will what he is intending for me to do; he simply smiles and says,
‘Watch me.’
He lifts his arm to shoulder height; his hand is a shining white-orange. His face is glowing with excitement, but you don’t have to see it to feel it radiating off him. He conjures up a ball of about 120 mm and throws it at the first target. It bursts into a million pieces; just before the pieces hit the ground an identical target takes its place. He yells at me
‘Your turn, Alex.’
I take a nervously shaky step up to him. I lift my arm to up the height of my shoulder, I can’t keep it still. Next thing I know that blinding light was back, from the other night but this time it was dimmer, there also was something rumbling in it, what sounded like a motorbike, weird. I could feel my hands growing hotter, something uncontrollable flew out of my hands, in the shape of a blob, and it flies straight towards my friends. It hits Jayde straight in the body, at that moment I disconnect from my power and run to her.
That rumbling didn’t stop; it grew louder, I looked up and see a dark blue Kawasaki Ninja. There is a person on that bike, obviously. They had a feminine feel to them; they jump off their bike, and took off their helmet. Sure enough it was a woman of about 23 years of age. She had shoulder length brown-black hair and dark blue eyes, she was about 5.4 feet tall, and she was wearing a studded leather jacket, leather gloves and leather pants.
I look at her weirdly; she just gives me a genuine smile which I return. I eventually reach Jayde; her clothes are all most completely disintegrated. She is not moving. I can’t see her stomach rising or falling. Right before my eyes she has been completely burnt, thanks to me. Just as I think that, she is completely soaked in water, like someone grabbed a massive bucket from the sky a dumped it straight on her body.
I look up, I think I can all most feel the power radiating off of her. As I reach eye level with the women I can see her hands have the last drips of water on them. I stare straight at Will then glance back at the women. I blurt out.
‘And who on earth are you?’
‘I am Chaise, Chaise Wolken.’ She says holding out her hand, I refuse to accept it.
‘William, who on earth is this women to you?’ I practically yell at him.
About three seconds after that came out of my mouth; Chaise’s tongue is half way down Will’s throat. EW! That’s so gross. I glance at Bella, she is too consumed with Jayde, and so she doesn’t see this at first, until Chaise all most falls into her. She looks up to see them kissing once more, a look shone in her eye. One I didn’t particularly like, I could identify some of the emotions. Love, anger, jealousy, and hatred. I all most had to throw a fire blob at her, just to get her attention back to Jayde, once she was looking back down at her she instantly got up and ran for the house. Mickey followed her, not needing to be with Jayde any longer.
When Chaise and Will finish making out, they are down to business. Chaise put a small wall of water up around Jayde’s body, which hugged it closely. Will couldn’t do much with his powers, so he just stood back and watched his girlfriend do what she could. I walk over to him and ask him,
‘Will she be okay?’
He looks solemnly at me, ‘Well, her body and legs were fully covered by your flames; her neck is a burnt but not as badly as her torso, same with the lower half of her legs.’
‘So I take that as a no, I suppose?’
‘It’s too early to say, but I don’t want to get your hopes up.’
