Dabi Pov:
"Why does it matter where I've been, Shigaraki?!" I growled. "Am I no longer allowed to enjoy the minimum time that I have to me and no one else!?"
I glared at the crusty man in front of me, clenching my fists. The man who I didn't even realize was abusing me until someone told me. Shigaraki had a brief expression of shock before it turned into anger. He glared right back at me.
"Dabi, I don't know who the hell you think you are. You do not get to just run off like this and, to be frank, I'm tired of this!" He screamed.
His position changed and he looked like he was about to attack me. I noticed and got into a defensive-ish position with my hand on the doorknob. If I need to run...
"So you're getting tired? Don't you fucking think that I'm tired of this bullshit?! I didn't do anything to deserve this! You're treating me like you own me! I used my free time that was given to all of us!" I yelled.
"Oh my god! You are useless, Dabi! I had a mission that I needed you to do, but apparently you're to fucking lazy to do it!" Spit was spraying from Shigaraki's crusty ass lips as he continued to scream at me.
I backed up a bit in fear and started to turn the door handle, ready to swing to the door open and make a break for it. My body was shaking, especially my hands and knees. Pain began to blossom in my chest. But then I noticed Kurogiri. He looked livid and was walking up behind Shigaraki. He made a motion for me to get out of the base and run, right before he slapped Shigaraki upside the head. I didn't waste a single second and slammed the door open and ran. My mind was blank, the only thing that was going through my head was "Get out of here"!
I ran and ran and ran until my legs collapsed and I was panting on the ground. I ran so hard that I didn't even notice something falling out of my pockets as I ran. I gasped for air as my knees hit the pavement. I brought my hands up to my neck and I was gasping for air. The pain in my legs was a sure sign that I was very far from the base. When I had finally caught my breath, I looked around and stood up. I frantically dusted myself off and leaned against a wall. Now what?
Do I go back? Is that even an option? Kurogiri...
Oh god, I have to go back! He's gonna get hurt!
But I don't even know where I am.
I'm gonna text him.
I quickly searched for my cell phone. All my hopes immediately fell like rain hitting a puddle when I realized my phone was gone.
"God DAMNIT!" I cursed angrily. "It must've fallen out of my pocket!"
I grumbled as I walked in the direction I came from. Maybe I can find my way back?
I wandered aimlessly as I tried to find the League of Villains base. I started to fidget with my jacket and the scars on my hands as I continued my frantic search. My chest was gaining that carved out feeling that I hated so much. It made me feel weak, pathetic, and idiotic.
Hours. I had walked around a maze of alleyways for hours and I still hadn't found the base. I hate this so much! It's getting dark out! That's when the true monsters come out. I need to find either the base or a safe place to stay. Hah, that's funny, there is no safe place to stay in this god forsaken world.
As I was trying to navigate the alleyways, I was also looking for somewhere to stay for the night. It felt like I was sixteen again, wandering alleyways by myself, just trying to not die. I shuddered at the memory. I don't wanna go through that ever again, I thought as I walked. Near eleven P.M, I had found a bar. I walked up the wet pavement and approached the neon pink and blue lights. It wasn't exactly safe, but I knew that the owners and staff members were all vigilantes and villains. I had also known that they had extra rooms that the owner let people stay in for the night, if it was absolutely necessary.
