Bec POV

"I don't know what to do, Bec. Like I think she's cool and stuff, but I don't know if she's the one-" Jason says, still making our meal as I lean on the island in the middle of the kitchen. "Well you'll never know if you don't at least go on a stroll with her." I reply, watching his back.

"But we're talking about Amanda here. We all know she won't ever shut her trap and she can get over-obsessed-"

"Oh come on, she's not that bad-" I interject, trying to give the girl some credit as I peeled my orange, even though he had a point.

"Just give the girl a
chance. At least a little one-"

"Look, I didn't talk to
you about this to try
to make you get me to
date her-"

"I'm not-" I start until he quickly interrupted again, "I'm talking to you about this so you can help me turn her down, shut her off, zilch date."

"Zilch date?"

"Not the point, but you get what I'm saying." He says, turning around and putting a dark grilled cheese on my waiting plate, then continued to beg, "Now help meeee!!!"

"I don't know which one's worse, your complaining or your cooking." I reply, raising my eyebrow as I pick up the burnt grilled cheese sandwich and bang it against the island to show that it was rock-hard.

Jason furrowed his eyebrows as he turned around to the stove again.

"Aw, did hurt the big baby's feelings?" I say in my deep baby voice as I walk around the island to him. I keep teasing him in my baby voice as I grab his arm and poke him, despite the scolds he gave me to stop. I kept going though until he took the spout thing connected to the sink and sprayed me with water. I was caught in shock as he laughed at my dropped mouth.

"I hope you know, you just started a war." I growl as I narrow my eyes towards him.

"I told you to stop." He replied, returning the glare.

I grabbed a handful of water and splashed it at him. He dropped the spout and I went for it. When I got it, I sprayed him until he soaked as much as I was. "It's a war. A WAR I TELL YOU!" I yell in my weird, evil, medieval, high-pitch, crazy witch voice. He laughed while blocking the water from damaging his perfect hair. I slipped on the water on the floor, making me trip into Jay who tumbled back into the counter behind him.

We laughed as I began to catch my loose footing and get off of him. "See, now look what you did." I smile, looking at our wet clothes and the wet floor, until I looked back up to him.

"Are we interrupting something?" Damian's voice suddenly asked, and Jay and I straightened up. "No," I say quickly, "I was just telling Jay to go on a date with Amanda until he started a water war."

"You started it!-" Jay starts childishly until I put my hand up to him. "Doesnt matter because you sprayed me first." I counter with a childish comment too and we stuck our tongues out at each other.

"Anyways..." Dick hums awkwardly, an arched eyebrow plucked to his face, "Bruce wants you for something." I raise an eyebrow at Dick's seriousness. "Do you know what it's about?"

"No clue." Tim answered as Dame and Dick just shook their heads.

I walked out of the puddles and out of the kitchen. I hadn't realized my heart began to speed up and I was actually nervous. I walked down the hallway until I passed the library, finding Bruce. I walked in shyly and he turned around to face me, expression worrisome. "Evening, Rebecca," He starts, oddly soft (especially for the Batman), "Please, close the door."

Now my heart was really pumping.

"W-w-what's going on?" I couldn't help my stuttering tongue as I closesd the library door behind me.

"Rebecca, it's about," He lets out a short breath, "It's about your father."

I had the right to be nervous.

"What happened?"

Tim POV

"Did you hear what he said?" I ask, whispering to Dick until Jason hushed me. Inside the library became silent until we heard Bruce call Bec's name loudly and the door flew open, nearly making the four of us fall in the doorway. Bec pushed us out of the way with one of her shoulders and her open hand since the other one was up to her face. Jay, Dick, Dame and I all exchanged the same looks of confusion, worry and concern until we looked back into the library at Bruce who sent us daggers, which was one of his signature glares. "Rebecca!" He called, pushing pass us too. He ran down the hall after Bec, the four of us doing the same.

"I have to see him Bruce. I have to!" Bec yelled as Bruce took hold of her shoulders. Bec was in tears as she looked up at Bruce. Ive never seen her cry before, neither has the rest of us, so we all were surprised. Bruce hugged her and that was another thing we were surprised about. He never hugs anyone, not us, not even his fake girlfriends. We we so lost. Why was Bec crying and who did she have to see?

"Rebecca, Rebecca. Alfred can take you when he gets back from his trip. Luckily that'll be soon." Bruce says in a comforting tone as Bec cried into his shoulder. Suddenly she shook her head and pushed away from Bruce's embrace, her cries getting harder. "I cant--" She says but her voice cracked, cutting off the rest of her sentence as she ran pass us again, running down the hallway and turning to go upstairs.

We were about to go see what was going on until Bruce said, "Just give her time-"

"But what happened?" Dick asked and Bruce began to walk back down the hall.

"I'll let her tell you on her own time," He continued before walking into a study room, sending us death glares, "And don't you even dare pressure her to tell you if she doesnt want to. Capiche?"

We all nodded, even though bold curiosity flooded our minds. But we all agreed, "Capiche."
