Rudolf and Tony lock eyes, the initial shock subsiding from Tony's entrance. Rudolf rushes down to the ground and grips Tony's hand.
"Tony! When did you get here?"
"Just now dude! I'm so happy to be back!"
Tony's embrace both shocked and flustered Rudolf at first. Quickly he recovered and gripped onto Tony's slightly boxy shoulders.
"You've changed haven't you!" Rudolf couldn't contain the excitement that he felt looking into the blonds blue eyes.
"Says you! Since when did you get your brother's fishnet gloves?"
"Oh when he left for art school, he's majoring in music and production."
"He leaves durning the day?" Tony immediately realized that was a stupid question and one that was best unsaid.
"Uh, you do know that they have night classes, yes?"
Tony looked down in both embarrassment and disappointment. He did know about those, he just forgot that those existed. After the little mix up, Tony and Rudolf left to help the parents that were left out with the luggage. Unsurprisingly, little to none of it was in due to the fact the son left as soon as they arrived. Tony and his parents would unpack the bags and Rudolf would offer to take the belongings to one of the rooms. However, this was futile because Tony refused to make him carry the baggage.
"You are not a butler! You are not going to carry any of this!"
"Tony, it would go faster if you let me help you! I just want to get it done as fast as possible so we can have fun again!"
Tony paused for only a second. Should he really consider the offer? It doesn't seem fair. He knows that Rudolf means the best but it wouldn't get rid of the guilt he felt. The stubbornness in him caused him to not let him help. Even with the vampire's pleas. The luggage unpacking took longer than ever before. But once it was all out they finally walked into the "castle" again. In all reality, it still told a story. This one was slightly less garlic and German though. Paintings lined the walls of the entrance, all of men dressed in different styles. The most notable one being the one of Rudolf's dad. Set up directly in front of the entrance on the opposite wall.
"Wow this place looks so different now."
"Thanks, my family and I worked hard to diminish that putrid garlic smell."
"What's it like to not be able to have garlic bread?"
"Garlic- Bread?"
The uncertainty of the garlic bread statement was for telling. Tony just shuts his lips and pretends to have not said anything. Rudolf knew what he said but also didn't say anything. The blue boy silently and awkwardly led the blond to the his original room.
"I think you'll be happy to know I told my family not to touch this room."
"Oh! I appreciate that man, thanks."
Rudolf pushed the door open and put a guiding hand out to Tony. Not as gracefully, Tony takes a step into the room. Reminiscing over the knocked over wardrobe.
"Hey look our 'space ship!'"
Rudolf only chuckled at the remark. Ever so often he would side eye Tony while he was unpacking. He analyzed every part of the boy's actions from head to toe. The slight bend he did when picking up his clothes from his suitcase. The reaches he made to get and hang up hangers. The subconscious sighs he made when noticing the fact he wasn't even close to done.
"So how long are you staying in Transylvania?"
"I was pretty adamant on saying for at least a month. I would prefer to stay for-." Tony cuts himself of, blushing at what he was about to say. Would he really be so stupid it ruin the moment like that!
He swiftly finished unpacking. The blond could only hope the blue haired boy doesn't bring up the last spoken words.
Turing on his heels, Tony glances at the vampire. Rudolf's eyes were gentle and soft, a stark contrast to the piercing red irises. Reaching out, Rudolf takes his soft face into his hand.
"Let's go flying again. Just us."
