A Few Hours Later...

Mikado walked all the way home. He could've teleported home. The thought of Anri entered his head. It felt like he had been avoiding her. The tadpole didn't mean to. He just... He was just scared. Mikado stopped and shook his head. That was no excuse.

"I'm home," he said at last.

"Welcome back," Anri said. She was sitting on the floor, waiting for him. How long had she been waiting for him? Mikado closed the door behind him.

"You didn't have to wait long for me," he said.

"I know," Anri said. He doesn't know why she does this.

"I went to see Akari-san," the tadpole said. She kept her eyes on him. There was no emotion on her face.

"How is she?" Anri asked.

"Good," Mikado said. He walked over to her and knelt down in front of her. The tadpole kissed her on the lips. She kissed him back. Mikado slowly pulled away.

"How are you?" he asked.

"Good," she said. Mikado's eyes trailed down to her stomach. So far, he couldn't sense the child. Not yet anyway. It had only been a couple of weeks. Mikado didn't seem to know what to do. This child was going to kill his girlfriend.

"Is something wrong?" Anri asked. Mikado stared at her at first. She kept her eyes on him. He dropped his shoulders.

"Yes," he said. Mikado closed his fists in his lap.

"I don't want you to die!" he said. Anri rubbed him on the back.

"I'm going to die," she told him. He wished that he could believe her. She says that Mika told her everything. Anri didn't seem to be afraid. In a way, Mikado envied her.

She turned his face to her and kissed him. Mikado kissed her back. He ended up pushing her back onto his futon. Anri looked up at him as she waited. She always let him take the lead. Almost like she lets him do as he pleased with her.

"Do you want me to do this?" Mikado asked. Anri pressed her lips together.

"Yes," she said. It hurt his heart. He always tried to give her an out. Still, she seemed to want to go through with it. Mikado trembled.

"Why do you do this to me?" he asked. "Aren't you scared of me?" Anri shook her head.

"No," she said. Mikado looked confused.

"But why not?" he asked.

"Do you want me to be?" she asked. Mikado was about to speak when Anri reached up and touched his cheek.

"You are still you," she said. "I still love you and I will never stop." Mikado kissed her in response. How did she have so much faith in him? He didn't deserve her. Could such an angel be real?

"I love you too," Mikado said. He leaned down and kissed her again. His girl kissed him back. He's gentler with her. There's going to be nothing kinky here. For some reason, Mikado is more vanilla with Anri. He couldn't bring himself to go too far with her.

He slid her black dress over her head. She lets him do as he pleased. It almost drove him crazy. Mikado looked down at his beloved.

"You are free to be the one in control," he said. Anri didn't say anything as she looked up at him. Her eyes were already glazed over. Some of his words were going to take a while to sink in. He still had that much in him? The boy could probably go for hours. Days, if he wanted.

"Okay," Anri said at last. Mikado caressed her cheek.

"I love you so much," he said. He took off his jacket and his shirt.

Their clothes ended up scattered all over his floor. Not once did she try to stop him. He wished for once that she would take some hint of control. Maybe speak up. Just anything. Mikado leaned down and kissed Anri on the neck again. His girl moaned. Maybe he could will her to take initiative. The tadpole slowly pulled away.

"Tell me what you want," he said.

"What?" Anri asked. She stared up with a hazy look in her eyes. Her mouth was slightly open.

"Tell me what you want," Mikado said again. "I am going to put you in control today. Now tell me. What do you want?"

"Kiss me," Anri said. The tadpole leaned down and kissed her on the lips. She kissed him back. Before Mikado knew it, Anri had gently rolled over and pushed him down onto his back. The tadpole looked up at her. There seemed to be a little bit of life in her eyes now. Mikado felt a hint of relief.

"Thank you," he said. "Thank you." Anri leaned down and kissed him to shut him up. It didn't take long for her to ride him. Mikado didn't know what it took. He just asked her what she wanted. Anri just moved from there. He didn't have to push her. It just happened. In a way, he was glad. At least, she was showing some action this time.

Anri went slowly with the ride. Mikado didn't have to think for this. He just let himself get lost in her. It felt alien to submit to Anri but he needed that. Only she could make him forget everything for just a moment. Even though she was pregnant with their child, it couldn't take away from moments like this. Anri reached down to caress his cheek. Her boyfriend took hold of her hand.

"Anri-chan, I love you," Mikado said. Her cheeks turned a bright red. That was the first time in a while that he saw any emotion on her face during sex. This stirred Mikado's heart. She leaned down for a kiss.

They shared a climax. Anri collapsed by his side. She looked up at her boyfriend. Mikado looked calm. He held her hand.

"I love you, Anri," Mikado said. Her cheeks turned red.

"I love you too," she said. Everything was calm. Mikado knew it wasn't going to last. He couldn't focus on that now. He would not let Anri die. It was going to take his all fight.

"I'm not going to let you," he said. She just rested her head on his shoulder. This was going to have to do for now.
