One At Last?

Chapter 11 - Truth, Lies and Surprises.

One week later, January 17th

It's 8 PM by now, and Louis is just watching a movie when he gets a call. His face lights up when he sees Harry's name pop up on the phone screen. He answers the phone without missing a beat and says, "Hi."

"Hi Lou, feeling better?" Harry asks. It's the day after the breakup article was published, and Louis was really anxious, but now that it's over and he's seen the great reaction on Twitter from many fans, he's feeling much better.

"I am, yea and you just facetimed me so I'm feeling a lot better," he says.

"Glad I could help, Lou," Harry replies.

"So, what did you do today?" Louis asks.

"Nothing much to be honest, mum's just been a little nosy about everything. Do you think we should tell them all? I mean what's the worst that could happen?" Harry answers with a brow wrinkled.

"Yea, Lottie, and Zayn were getting very curious too yesterday, I think it's time we tell them but how? I mean I don't want to do it alone you know," Louis replies, rubbing the back of his neck.

"I guess we could just facetime everyone together. I mean we can tell Gemma and mum right now cause they are just downstairs and we could just add Lottie to the call," Harry adds shrugging his shoulders.

"I think that's good, yea. I'll just call Lottie and then add you to the call if she isn't busy right now. Is that okay, peach?" Louis asks.

"Yes darling, that's fine. I'll be waiting, bye Lou," Harry replies.

"I'll be quick yea, I love you,"

"I love you too mango,"

They hang up the call and Louis facetime Lottie, she picks up after about four rings, "Lots, are you busy?"

"Hi Lou, I am not that busy, just watching something. Why?" her forehead creased.

"Umm, well me and Harry need to tell you something so I'm gonna add him on this call if you don't mind and also, Gemma and Anne will be there too," he says pressing his lips together.

"Yea sure, I don't mind," she says, still confused.

"Hi Lots, how are you?" Harry asks waving his hand.

"Hi, Harry! I'm okay. How are you? How are Gemma and Anne?" she replies.

"I'm fine too, thanks for asking. Gemma and mum are right next to me, give me a sec," Harry says trying to put the phone on the table in a way that all of them are seen.

"What's going on Harry? Why are we all here?" Gemma asks as she glared at Harry.

"Ummm, well that's because-," Harry stops and stares at the phone like he wants to pass the question to Louis.

"We have to tell you something," Louis completes "You start?"

"Yea, umm remember when I tweeted Louis' photo and it caused a lot of problems and we had to deal with it?" Everyone just nods.

"Well, so we did find a solution, but Jeff also gave Harry a choice. He had to choose between his career and me," Louis adds.

Flashback to December 2022.

Harry and Louis are cuddling in bed, Harry wrapped in Louis' arms while he makes circles on Louis' chest. They are trying to come up with a plan that could work and be believable at the same time.

"Lou, we really need something that's believable," Harry says.

"Yea love, I know, but what? We really need to think this through," Louis replies "Show me the email he sent again,"
