Chapter Fourteen

What if....Lucas hasn't seen Max in years only to find out she is with someone else? (Angst and Smut)

"Ladies and gentlemen! We will be landing in Florida in approximately thirty minutes! Thank you for flighting with us!"

"Oooo you hear that guys, just thirty more minutes!" Sue mentions excitedly, her Charles Erica and Lucas filling up a row in the economy class airplane.

"Yes I'm pretty sure we heard the guy say it loud over intercoms." Erica mentions simply, her eyes focused on her Nintendo.

"We are going to have such a fun time you guys!" Charles says with a smile.

"Lucas bright smile!" Sue says.

Lucas sends Sue a smile that doesn't meet his eyes, him turning back to look ahead of him, music just blasting in his ears. To celebrate Lucas finally graduating High School Sue and Charles decided to take a trip to Florida, apparently they have been planning and saving for it since all that happened after...

Lucas leans back on his seat a little, his tongue rolling a little in his mouth. He doesn't find the need to think about it or maybe just tries not to think about it, because every time he does he just feels this twinge in his heart that he is tired of feeling. He turns his music up higher, him closing his eyes and letting himself just drown in the music.

After the plane lands they make their way out of the plane, them going into the taxi that drives them to the car rental place, them renting a car before they all go inside of it, driving to the hotel. When they get to the hotel they all get to the floor, Sue handing each Lucas and Erica a keycard.

"Three eleven and three twelve, you all can choose which one you want." Sue says.

"Mine says three eleven so guess I'm in three eleven." Erica mentions simply before going in the room.

"We're going to have fun son." Charles pats his shoulder.

Lucas smiles at Charles. "Looking forward to the beach."

Charles smiles at him. "That's the spirit."

Lucas nods his head with his brows raising for a second in a okay manner, him making his way inside of the room and closing the door behind him.

Sue sighs a little. "Charles it's been three years, I don't understand why he's still..."

"Effected by it?" Charles finishes for her, Sue nodding her head. "That's just how...heartbreak works dear, but this trip will lift his spirits." Sue nods her head, both of them going inside of their room.

Lucas puts down his suitcase and his bag, him looking around the nice room. He first goes over to the phone on the nightstand, dialing a number before putting it to his ear.

"Hello?" Mike answers.

"Hey Mike it's Lucas."

"Lucas!" Mike says happily. "Guys come over here it's Lucas!" He directs at Will and Dustin, them going over to the phone.

"Hey Lucas!"

"Hey man!"

"Hey guys." Lucas greets. "What are you guys up to?"

"Just sitting around watching TV, wishing we were with you in Florida." Mike says.

"Well I wish I was with you guys back home." Lucas says. "Really don't want to be here."

"Understandable Lucas but you need the vacation." Will says.

"You know...more than any of us." Dustin adds in.
