DAILY LOGBOOK REPORT:

The night shift operators had just left for home. As usual, we got off the shuttle bus and headed inside the power plant. We all clocked in an orderly fashion as to be expected, changed into our work uniform and passed through the full-body scanner for any leftover traces of radiation. Then the dozen of us made our way through the hallways to control room R3 in sector 2.

We've continued with the regular reactor procedures, maintaining them throughout the early morning. Most of the operators were laid back, sunken into their seats as they watched the many buttons and dials of the control rooms lazily. The chief made sure to regularly check the temperature of the reactor. One thing I should note is during ~ 09:42 the reactor temperature jumped from 721°C to 735°C It was nothing to worry about, so we simply disregarded it and continued with our shift.

Goddamnit, that bloody klutz spilt his tea all over me! I know this logbook is strictly for work use only, but that damned quently elbowed his tea onto my uniform! So now, I'm in the bloody locker room getting a new one from the spare bin.

Something rather upsetting just transpired. I was on my way back to the control room when the lights in the hallway suddenly became rather bright for a few seconds. This continued onwards for about 5 or 15 minutes before settling down to its neutral brightness. When I returned to the room the Chief was on the phone with the higher-ups, giving an account of them, and I quote, "to shut down reactor 2 for the time being until the maintenance team arrived to inspect the new reactor." The reactor, Being a Sodor-built one, was rather fidgety since it and the Control Room had been renovated in the summer. It had been having Teething Problems, so we had to manually insert the control rods ourselves. Anyways, after doing what we were told, our shift was over and we all headed back for home.  We all synchronously tucked our uniforms away onto the trolley, then grabbed our things and headed for home. I hope this fills in the quota for the R2 Logbook. I'll report more tomorrow.
