Two days later

They discharged Maria, after making sure her wound was secured, we are now driving back,she is sitting beside me, I got her clothes to wear,she had to have stitches,the doctor said it's best if she stays in bed rest for a few days more, "Ace" her voice,I was so close to never hearing it again, "yes my love" "I'll help you" "help me?" "I'll tell you Victor's plans" what? "Then ill stay,I'll stay with you,I've found my home in you Ace,I hope your not tired with me yet" oh my god,"Baby,love I couldn't be happier with your choices" she smiled, I love it,making her smile is one of my main aims now,I love my little bird, she brought life to me, "Ace cmon play something on the radio" I chuckled, as if my voice made her better every time,she grinned, I played the radio,my favorite song,somewhere only we know by Rihanna,was playing, Maria sighed, "this is my favorite song" "really? Mine too" we are soulmates

I helped her out of the car,she tried to walk but I picked her up and took her in,my best friend Jaxon was on the couch,I set Maria down, he saw us and came over " hi mystery girl" Maria chuckled "hi" "My name is Jaxon, you?" "Maria" Jaxon was surprised "Holy fuck, Maria Salazar?" She smiled again, "the one and only" "nice to meet you! Dude since when are you dating Maria? How did I not know?" Maria looked at me and then replied "he captured me a few days ago, his ass has been pretty nice, we started officially dating today" she said, with a smirk, "dude I fucking hate you! "Okie" she said and flopped herself on the couch and started the tv, fucking love her energy, I signaled Jaxon to follow me to the gate, "take care of her and keep her away from sharp things and anything that can harm her" "why? She's a fully grown human she knows what to stay away from" he frowned "she tried to commit suicide a few days ago, when you called the ambulance" he widened his eyes "fuck man, that girl and suicide? She's a ray of sunlight, how did she even ...." he didn't finish, too shocked to say anything, I patted his shoulder, "I'm heading off, see you" he nodded and went inside

Maria's pov

Ace just left for work and Jaxon came inside, looking like he received an electric shock, "you okay?" He looked at me and smiled "yeah, hey, you want popcorn?" " Yeah sure" "super, I'll be right back"

*after two hours*

I understand why Jaxon is ace's best friend, dude has the energy of a whole fucking cheerleader squad, I might have met my new best friend

I laughed, he's a kid in a grown man's body, the doorbell ringed, ace's home, he opened the door and Ace walked in and he looked exhausted, and came and sat beside me, and kissed me on the forehead, "Oh my god, eww, I'm going to my room" Jaxon said and walked out, with a mock- disgusted expression " such a baby" Ace muttered, "you look tired" "I am, training new recruits is not easy job" he said "you been alright since I left?" He asked looking at me with concern, "yes Ace, I'm alright" "good" he said and stood up and reaching out his hand, told me to stand up, together we went upstairs, and he slowly changed, I am staying in his room from now, he got me clothes to change and I went to the bathroom to change and saw that it was a night dress, the length till my knees, I grinned and put it on, and walked out, his grey eyes feasted on my body and he picked me up and put me on the bed and crawled next to me, hugged me and fell asleep, his arms felt so nice, I fell asleep quickly as well
