Chapter 6: Secret garden

After what had happened in the dorm, Alicia was sure Helena wouldn't give up on trying to make Link love her. She knew Helena was now furious and sad and hated Mipha so much. Alicia was scared that Mipha would be in danger, so she warned Mipha and Zelda, " Try not to get close to Helena. I cannot promise she wouldn't try to harm you."

When Zelda heard this, she was not surprised as she knew Helena's character. Helena wouldn't give up if she liked someone, especially Link, because he was an exceptional boy. Zelda also could not imagine what Helena would do, so she hoped Mipha would try to always stay with her because Zelda knew Helena well and might anticipate what Helena might want to do to Mipha.

Also, today was very exciting for Mipha, as so many things happened.

After school, she went to the little garden, a secret place as only a few people knew about it. It was a fantastic place, full of flowers, primarily roses and cherry blossoms. Mipha always went there to relax. She usually went to the swing, sat down, and read a book. She did this today too!

Link was unfamiliar with that location. He was walking with Alson after school, and they were chatting. " Link, do you know that this school has a secret garden?" Alson asked.

" No, I didn't know it! Where is it?" Link asked curiously.

" It is just near the Konami building in our school. Shall we go now?" Alson asked.

" Yes, of course, we should." Link said. Alson smiled after he heard this as he, Alicia, and Zelda had planned it. Zelda and Mipha found that place together, and Zelda discovered that Mipha would go there every single day after school. So, she called Alson and Alicia to plan to let Link and Mipha meet again.

They noticed a little road they hadn't known before as they approached the Konami building. They followed the little road, walked, and walked, and they found there were two ways. Link asked, " Now, which way should we go?"

" Maybe the left way?" Alson said. He already knew where the swing was, and the opposite direction was on the other side of the garden. Link nodded. As he walked along the path, he heard someone singing. The voice was beautiful and smooth, making anyone who heard it feel comfortable. Link followed that voice and finally arrived at the little garden with a swing. He didn't know where he was, so he was going to ask Alson.

"Alson, where are w..." Link didn't finish because he soon noticed that Alson wasn't there. He tried to call Alson and Alicia, but neither of them answered their phone on purpose. After Link called them at least 30 times, he gave up. He slowly walked toward a girl who wasn't facing him. Her back looked familiar, but Link wasn't sure who it was. Finally, he decided to ask her how he should leave this garden. The girl was singing beautifully, and Link let her finish it. He knew that it wasn't good to disturb her.

Link sat down near a tree and listened to her voice, so smooth, too soft, but beautiful. After she finished, Link walked to her and said, " Lady, your singing is so incredible!"

" Thank you!" The girl looked at Link, and Link realized that she was Mipha. And Mipha was shocked, " Link! Why are you here?"

" I just came here for a walk. I didn't know that you were here!" Link exclaimed.

" Oh really? I like staying here for reading, singing, or playing on the swing." Mipha said.

" This is a perfect place, though! A swing, roses, cherry blossoms," Link said, " And including you, a very beautiful view."

" Are you just teasing me?" Mipha blushed and asked.

" No, I am telling the truth." Link said. Mipha heard that, and she blushed even harder. She looked away from Link, fearing that Link would notice her blushing. But Link had already seen that but didn't let on to Mipha that he had noticed.

" But what are you here for?" Mipha said.

" I just had a walk, and I got lost. So, may I ask, how do I get out of this garden?" Link asked.

" Oh! You know how to come but don't know how to go out?" Mipha laughed, " That's so funny!"

" Well, Alson was with me but went away without telling me." Link explained.

" I see! Anyway, I am going now. Do you want to come with me?" Mipha asked.

" Yes, of course!" Link said. Mipha suddenly took his hand, and Link was shocked. Mipha noticed that, and she immediately let go, " I am so sorry if this makes you feel uncomfortable."

" No, it's fine." Link smiled, " Your hands are so warm."

" Thanks," Mipha said, and Link held her hand. Then, they walked out of the garden together, and when they arrived back outside, Link let go of her hand. He said he didn't want anyone to know this. After Link and Mipha walked out of the garden, Link saw Alson. He said, " Alson, where did you go? I didn't find you!"

" I am sorry, Link. I forgot that I promised Alicia I would return the book I borrowed from her." Alson said.

" Next time, can you please tell me first?" Link asked.

" I am sorry. I will tell you next time." Alson apologized. Of course, he made all this up.

" Okay, fine. Let's go then! I am hungry and thirsty." Link said.

" Okay, bye, Mipha!" Alson said.

" Bye, Alson! Bye, Link!" Mipha waved. Link waved and smiled.

Mipha went back to her room and saw Zelda folding her clothes. " Mipha! Thank goodness! You are finally back. It was later than usual for you to return, and I was worried. Why are you so late today?" Zelda asked. She asked this on purpose, as she already knew that Mipha had met Link. She was one of the people who made up the plan!

" Oh! I forgot to check the time, so I am late." Mipha didn't tell the truth, as she didn't want Zelda to know about her encounter with Link.

As usual, Zelda was pleased to see her, and Mipha finally decided to confide in her, " Actually, I met Link! I was so excited! And he is so handsome! He is my ideal boyfriend!"

" That's amazing! You are lucky! Maybe you are Link's ideal girlfriend!" Zelda pretended to be surprised.

" You are teasing me!" Mipha blushed. Zelda laughed, " Alright, it is getting late, and you are supposed to make dinner today!"

" No problem." Mipha smiled. She went into the kitchen. Zelda could hear her singing while cooking, and Zelda knew that Mipha was very happy to have met up with Link!
