The Travel (a kingdom hearts last of us au)

CHAPTER 1

                     May 12, 2002

Sora bounced his leg in anticipation for the bell to ring, it was his last class of the day, he looked over to Kairi and Riku who were seated in front of him. They didn't notice him though but he smiled at them. Just then a car crashed outside of the gate of the school, everyone noticed and went to the windows to see what happened.

  “Alright class, back to your seats.” the teacher said. 

Sora went to see along with Kairi and Riku, all three of them were together, they all waited to see if the person who crashed was ok, someone came to the driver's side to open the door to see if they were ok, but when the driver came out he acted strange, he wasn't hurt but he acted strange, just then he lunged at the man that helped him and attacked him, biting his throat open.

Everyone screamed, some turned away and some ran out the door, the three friends just watched, they were too stunned to do anything, just then one of the teachers barged in and attacked one of the students, also biting him, everyone ran out including Sora, Kairi, and Riku, they all ran through the halls some teachers and students attacked others.

  “What's happening? Why is everyone attacking each other?” Kairi asked.

  “I don't know, but we need to get out of here!” Riku said. 

They ran out of the school and entered the streets, everyone was running while some were attacked, cars were crashed and abandoned, there were some fires as well, one person came towards Riku and attacked him, he pushed him to the ground and tried to bite him, Riku tried to keep him off him, he found a piece of wood and hit him over the head with it.

  “C’mon! We have to get out of here!” Riku shouted.

Just then a plane was coming down and just above them and crashed into one of the buildings, the ground shook, the three put their hands over their ears from the sound of exploding buildings and planes, Riku looked over at the two, Sora was shaking and Kairi was crying, he realized at this moment he has to be strong for them, he always was but now more than ever he realized he has to be there for them. He grabbed their hands and ran through the city dodging attackers left and right, more cars and planes crashed, more fires started to erupt around the city. 

  “Riku what do we do? Where do we go?"Sora asked.

Riku didn't answer, he just kept running with their hands in his, trying to find a safe space for the three of them.

  “Riku!” Sora shouted.

In front of them a building collapsed, blocking their way, Riku went left and kept going, he didn't know where to go but he just needed to be far away from the city, his heart was pounding, his mind was racing, he didn't know if they can survive this but he needed to, he needed to keep them safe.
