Twelve

Damon opened the door to see Holly and Stefan sound asleep. Today, they were going to find a way into the tomb. He wanted Katherine out, but something Holly told him last night made sense. Is he sure that Katherine is in there? "Time to wake up."

"Out!" Holly says as she hid under the blanket.

Stefan raised up and looked at his brother. "We know what you want and we promise that we are going to help." He says. "I have Holly. I'm not falling for Katherine's tricks ever again."

Damon watched as Stefan laid down and pull Holly closer to him. He wonder if they were telling him the truth. Was he really going to help him get Katherine out just to get rid of him or was Stefan making a point that Katherine played them?

The next morning, before Holly went home, she was going to tell the truth. "Damon?" He looked at his brother and the blonde. "I know you want us to help, which we are, but is it safe bringing her back?"

"Holly, I will leave once she's out."

"Damon, maybe you should listen. None of us knows if she's really in there. Katherine always had a plan and she knew how to seduce." Stefan says. "She can act like she went in, but didn't. Simple."

"If you two are right, I will help you figure how Holly exists."

"I don't really care for how. I'm just glad she's here and I'm not falling for someone I know will do the same as her look a like." Stefan tells him. "Let this mystery be a mystery. I love Holly Gilbert for who she is. "

Holly smiled as she kissed him. "Let's get started on finding that grimoire."

Later that day, Holly was walking around town as Stefan spot to Mr. Saltzman. Jeremy told Holly that he had the journal, but the blonde promised Stefan that she won't go near him. "Who are you?"

She turned to see a young girl . "Holly Gilbert."

"Are you..."

"Jeremy's sister, yes."

"I'm Anna."

The blonde nodded and walked away as she dialed a number. She never thought for one minute that Anna was a vampire. Anna was shocked the blonde was talking to Stefan Salvatore, but she knew Holly Gilbert wasn't technically human. That's the one thing she can tell. She needed to figure out what Holly Gilbert is or is there a reason for her birth. Her own existence.

"I told Damon that we will be here digging." She tells him. "He was shocked for some reason, but we have to be honest with him. If this grimoire has answers to the tomb or to me, then maybe involving Damon isn't so bad."

Stefan stopped and looked at her. "Baby, I don't care about the existence behind your very being. All I care about is you and our love. I love you so much that the thought of losing you hurts."

Holly smiled as Stefan went back to digging. Damon arrived in time to hear Stefan hit the casket. "You found it." He says shocking Elena.

"Yeah." He says handing it over. "Why?"

"Elena thought you two went against me not knowing that we all planned this together." The blonde saw her sister walking away. "So, who's ready to read this?"

"One problem." Holly says. "Can we actually read it or does a witch need to read it?" The brothers knew one thing. Holly may not have been alive, but she's made a point. The blonde smiled. "Okay. Let's try to figure this out if not, then I'll take the book to Shelia."

"Sounds like a plan." Stefan says jumping out of the grave.

Holly hopped on his back and left. Time to see if Katherine is in the tomb or not.
