It was Saturday morning. The sun slowly rose over Ninjago and one of it's sunbeams gleamed through the redish curtains of Kai's room, waking him. He growled and turned over, so his face was protected from the light. But then a knock on his door finally woke him up. He stood up, yawned and walked over to open the old wooden door to see it was Nya. She informed him"You have to get ready, there was another Serpentine attack in Jamanakai". Kai's face went from totally sleepy to exited and alarmed within seconds. He nodded then ran out on the Yard of the Monastery. Jay, Cole, and Zane were already waiting for him. They sat on their dragons. Kai used his spinjitzu to get all dressed up in his Ninja clothes. Then got up on Flame (His dragon). It was a great maroon red dragon. Jay stated"Let's go". Kai said"The first one there wins". He smirked mischievously. Everyone"Haha".

(Jamanakai)
When the four Ninja arrived, they saw snakes running through the streets of the village. Chasing innocent people around and threatening them for their money and candy etc. Then a small figure appeared, dressed all in black. Lloyd"Muhahaha, now the candy is all mine". Jay asked himself "The kid?".

They got down, and walked towards Lloyd, all pissed. Lloyd yelled"I'm never coming down from this sugar high". Laughing. Then he saw the Ninja and his expression changed quickly.
Cole said"Sorry to bust your buzz, little Garmadon" Jay added"But it's already past your bed time". Cole crossed his arms. Lloyd turned around and screamed"Get them" to the Serpentine.
The snakes general rattled his tale and ordered"Seize them". Then a bunch of snakes surrounded the Ninja in kind of a circle. Kai more or less asked"The Serpentine, they're real?". Cole looked around and said"They're not the only thing we have to worry about". He pointed at the hypnotised People. The Ninja saw no way out, so they ran, jumping over the walls and roofs. They found Nya, who just got there too hiding in a corner. She warned them"When they rattle with their tails, Don't look them in their eyes, that's how they get you". Jay annoyed asked"Well, what are we supposed to do?, we can't use our weapons and now we have to fight with our eyes closed, Ha, perfect". Nya stated"You need to get the staff from their General, in there's the antivenin". Everyone sighed. Kai said"Come on guys, let's forget about the green Ninja thing and make Sensei proud". Cole said"Oh, now you're talking". Jay turned to Nya and stated"And Nya...you can be our honoury member". He gave her a sweet smile. Nya crossed her arms in annoyance and replied"Gee, thanks".
The four of them went back to fight the Serpentine, when Kai got there, two snakes walked up behind him. He carefully turned around and playfully smirked. He asked"You wanna play?...how about a little spinjitzu?". But his spinjitzu wasn't working too well, as he stumbled a bit and fell to the ground, seeing stars for a second. The snakes came nearer again and he stood up, rubbing his aching head. He did not face them, but when we was sure they were near enough, he hit them with both his fist right between their eyes. Making them fall unconscious. Then he kept fighting with the others...

(After the fight)
Sensei Wu had arrived, and Kai went to talk to him. He said"Sorry Sensei, if we had dealt with Lloyd before, none of this would've happened". Sensei replied"Even lessons learned the hard way are lessons learned".
Kai nodded. He still had a cap he had found in his left hand, and decided to go around and look for the kid it belonged to, while the others went back to the Monastery. (Jay in the backround"Did you see the look on their faces when my lightnings hit them, Ha", Cole"Let's get home, I'm starving", Zane"I will cook tonight", Jay replied to Cole"Aren't you always?", Cole said"Hey, no, I'm not", All of them laughed)
Kai walked through the tight street, knocking on a few doors to ask if the cap belonged to anyone, without success. After a while he gave it up and hung it on a random tree's stick. He sat down on a near bench and sighed. Thinking about the green Ninja thing, he silently asked himself"Could I be the green Ninja?". Then he heard a quiet whimpering. He stood up and looked around, then he saw it. A girl, ginger short hair, scared and alone in a corner between two houses. He carefully walked over to her and asked"What's the matter?", She looked up, tears streaming from her eyes, and a bleeding wound on her right cheek. Kai was a little shocked, then he asked"Where are your Parents?", She sighed, and finally replied"Dead, they died long ago". He frowned and felt sorry for her, his parents died too, some time ago. Kai thought for a second if he should take her with him or not, but the fact that she was bleeding and without anyone to protect her, made him decide to give the idea a try. He stated"You can come with me, if you want to, my friend Zane makes the best Soup in all Ninjago, and my Sister Nya could help with the cut and by the way...I'm Kai, Master of Fire". She nodded, taking his hand to help her get up. She gave him a thankful half-smile before her expression went back to sad. He helped her get up on Flame and when he noticed that she was sorta scared of the dragon he said"She kind, no need to be scared, it'll be fun, I promise". He winked at her.
